After many years of construction, the newly built auditorium was finished at last. In ones eyes it could be considered a work of art, as the architecture astonished the eyes of many. It was clearly made to impress, and to show how passionate the Mali of Laureh'lin were for their society.

Thus it was time for a session to begin. Every citizen of Laureh'lin was invited to attend, with fliers being handed out around town. It was a time for growth in both society and government. Many flocked the halls of the auditorium, many stayed home to avert politics all together. As they gathered in crowds, and waiting for a while, the Chancellery then took to the rostrum, sitting upon their chairs. The heraldry of Laureh'lin stood bright behind them imprinted on the wall, as the Chancellor of Legislation, Curuven Haler'sul stood, making an opening speech to the public:

"I am convinced," He says in passionate and loud tone, "that the time is coming, where we can look upon our nation as the promised lands. I am convinced, that those individual Mali who condemn us for being contented about reuniting most Mali and Mali'ame, will join our ranks and hail us for what we have created. This new province, this new Province of magnificence, honor and courage is what we should look to as the Promised lands."

The crowd then erupts into applause, cheer flowing through the people. "It is time we look to you as the savior of our race." He adds, "Come forth and display input, come forth and show that you are willing to put yourselves forth for the glory of our race."

Anyone whom would be eager to say their input would then take to the podium.

Tristin Tresery remains silent upon the lone seat at the highest row of the rostrum. His hands clasped together before him as he leans forward, eyes narrowed at all who lay before himself and the other two Chancellors. Following the end of Curuven's speech he nods once, a faint smile splayed upon his lips as he claps in unison with the rest of the crowd. He then adjusts his posture, his back rigid and straight as he awaits for the discussion to begin.

Artimec steps onto the podium and looks on the crowd briefly, regarding them casually before making his speech.

"For many decades now, I have devoted my life to the betterment of the elven people. These efforts have been for better or for worse. In any and all circumstances, I remain with my people, the elves. True elves, not those who isolate themselves in caves or sneer from plateaus of un-natural make."

...

"I have a dream, an image of the society I have spent blood and sweat in trying to build. This image involves our people united and living in one city, together in our fierce desire to uphold our values and contribute to the thriving of our home."

...

"What are our values you ask? That would be a good question, for in our constant struggle with Haelun'or, Fiandria and Feral elves, we have lost focus on what tenaments we should strive to uphold. Now I bring forth a new codex, commandments which shall give our people something to fight to preserve. A code to build our society around.

Artimec unfurls a scroll, it is intricate and clearly well thought out, he begins reading through the contents in a clear tone.

1) The fragility of elven blood must be protected.

To knowingly condemn your child to bare two curses is not only foolish, it is treacherous, especially when that second curse is that of shortened life, stealing from our young the gift of lifespan. It is the duty of all elves of Cerulin to prevent our mali’ii from baring the curses of outside races.

2) Life is sacred, the natural cycle must not be breached with un-natural creations

All living things are born, or grow naturally, and die when their time comes. The continuation of natures cycle is essential to the elves of Cerulin. All artificially created life, be it the manipulation of souls, or the re-animating of dead flesh, will be immediately struck down.

3) Arcane magic is the greatest of responsibilities, and the most dangerous temptation towards corruption

A mage craves power, and seeks to hold himself above others as their superior. Arcane magic grants an individual immense lethality and can easily corrupt the body and mind. Arcane mages are expected to be beyond humble, and use their skills only in the defence and aid of fellow citizens in dire need. Mages shown to crave too much power, or are seen flaunting their arts pridefully will be struck down, for such uses of the arcane offend the natural balance.

He lowers the scroll, rolling it back up and resting it under his arm.

"For these are the commandments we must uphold to make our society strong, and I suggest the council begin doing so."

Isabella shakes her head, wondering why she'd even bothered coming, leaving as Art reaches his second point.

Pebble lays atop the auditorium within earshot, a troubled look on her face.

Curuven would clap to Art's speech, nodding to himself as he speaks up, "I believe it's our responsibility to uphold those cultural laws, no? I believe the Mali'ame , and other Mali races should all protect their blood from the outside races. It saddens me to see a Mali cursed with the blood of a valah, such a imbecile act to breed with others. And the unnatural is quite self-explanatory, same with the Arcane magic. Very well, I will support these terms, as long as the Princeps himself agrees with me." He says, glancing to Tristin in expectation.

Tristin nods once upon the immediate ending of Artimecs speech. Both hands leaving their clasped formed and going to rest upon either of his knees. He turns to Curuven, nodding along as he speaks before speaking himself, going to stand for a short moment. "Chancellor Curuven took the words right from my mouth." he nods once, a faint smirk following afterwards "To intermingle with other races is to give your children two curses. Any acts of such will be heavily frowned upon in Cerulin." he nods once before seating himself again. Awaiting the crowds response.
