Have you read and agreed to the rules?: I have, find them very well made and agree totaly with them

 

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I think the rule I like the most, if there is one is this "Structures that defy the laws of physics, underground or automated farms/furnaces, floating leaves and strip-mining, are not allowed. " Because I am more into constructions when it comes to minecraft, and keeping a rule on construction, mostly mining helps a lot to keep a good Role play server running!

 

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): Well I am not certain on the matter on building, is it strictly in established towns ? or is it allowed to build outside their claimed territories, start out as a hermit ? I believe thats missing, or at least not highlighted enough. 

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I looked for it, searched for good role play servers and found this one!

What is roleplaying?: Well for me its playing/going into a charactar that i Invented. Start out with a small backround story and then, while playing him I start discovering him. Because a roleplay charactar changes with the experiances and circumstances he encounters, and often, as ive had on other servers, their family can have a legacy, that can continue on with their children etc... 

 

What is metagaming?: Never heard of it, but from what ive searched its basicly using "external factors" to use in game, basically cheat i believe, or get an advantage. It might also become out of context. But since ive not heard of it before i doubt id be doing it ^^ 

 

What is powergaming?:Also never heard of that term before, but Seen it before. Basically its, from what my little research tells me, just trying to maximize one aspect in a game, say mining for instance, or combat. and leaving the rest unattended. 

 

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Elias Grame

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 19

Biography  Elias Parents were peaceful people, living under the Imperium of Oren, they believed in it, mostly because it united all the humans under one banner, and it kept the peace for a long time. they were loved by their neighbors, always seen as the most opened and diplomatic people. It was heaven for them, and the years 1481 should have been the peak of it, since their first son, Elias was born. sadly, in the same year the rebellion started, the Grame family though they could stay out of it. But soon they understood that they couldn't even trust their neighbors any longer. The situation became dangerous when people started to ask them to join their cause. The Grame family though preferred to stay out of it, hoping that neutrality might assure their safety.  Sadly it wasn't enough and eventually the young family had to leave the city for the wilderness, go far away from the conflicts to raise their son, in a quiet, secure and peaceful environment. 19 years later ( if 1500 is the current date) Elias was grown up. His father had already died when he was 16. For the remaining years he took care of his mother, before she passed away 2 years later.

Elias parents have given their son all of the morals and norms that the people of the city had, But Elias had also learned how to take care of himself in the wilderness. Now though it was time to put his knowledge into practice, and since his mother died, nothing retained him, to go into the grand world, and explore it to its full extensions, build himself, his own life.

Personality Traits: Elias is a very curious person, one of the reasons he left his parent's house behind. He loves architecture, grand buildings, palaces and temples. He also admires strength and discipline, he always hoped to maybe join the army one day. But hes also a very opened minded person, who often prefers to negotiate than to fight. 

Ambitions: Elias has few Ambitions in the beginning, for now he wants to find a place were to settle, maybe join a town or city that he could serve. 

Strengths/Talents: Elias has learned the craftsmanship of his father, and his a well  skilled builder. may it be in the construction of simple houses or the interior designs of castles. Elias is also an accomplished diplomat, knowing the ways of persuasion and being able to analyses peoples intention's. 

Weaknesses/Inabilities:   Even though he knows how to survive in the wilderness, Elias isn't the best when it comes to agriculture, or botanic in general. His knowledge about war is also very limited, he is willing to learn, but the peaceful environment in which his parents raised him, never let the ideas of warfare come out. 

Appearance Elias is a good 5ft tall and weights about 75 kgs. He has dark brown hair and dark green eyes ( trait of the Grame family)

Welcome to the sever mate. Just to give you a bit of a clearer definition - meta-gaming is taking OOC information into IC and using it while power-gaming would be making your character overly powerful in a particular aspect without any roleplay to back it up. Both of those are really simple definitions. If you have any more questions, feel free to send me a PM on the forums.

 

As for your question - towns, cities and villages will already have owners and buildings which can be removed or replaced at their will. They can ask other people IC to build more for them should they wish too. Nexus plots litter the main-roads and areas around which can be claimed by anyone once they have enough people to support it. As well as both of the above we have areas called 'wilds' where it is completely free-build for everyone. (I'd advise against heading off on your own when you first join however.)
