Aengulic Tournament - Season 2 Cs:go

Greetings people, and welcome to the season 2 - Aengulic Tournament!

 

Last year we had the community battling it off on the Summoners Rift in League of Legends. However this year, a whole bunch of people have voted on a Counter Strike Global Offensive tournament. As a huge CS:GO fan myself I completely support this idea, and I look forward to seeing you all fighting your hardest for the top spot, plus the title of calling yourselves the Season 2 Aengulic Cup Champions.

 

This year I've decided to step up my game, to create the best possible 3rd party game event on LotC! For this to happen I hope that every single one of you will participate in some way or another, to all get together and support this process.

 

Now for the tournament itself!

 

The tournament will be continuous over a few weekends, since CS:GO matches can last for a very long time. Followed by some very cool prizes.

 

Date & Time.

The Aengulic Cup starts May 23. at 20:00/21:00 GMT on a saturday and will be continuous over the next couple of weekends. Hopefully, depending on the amount of teams participating.

 

Teams.

Teams will consist of 5 players, each with a watchable LotC forum account. I will not say this twice; Everyone will be able to join! So you will be able to have your friends play with you, they just need to have a watchable LotC forum account. 

 

Commercial & Streaming.

Aside from the whole competitive event, people who aren't able to join, can make an application for their nation, or LotC settlement. I will put up the names of the nations/settlements on the stream, where you can all follow the whole event up close. Prizes!

When deciding for the right winning prize, I realised that it only would be fair if the entire team got something each for winning, rather than just one reward. Below is a list of prizes which the 1st place team players, each can choose from (1 per player):

MVP Prize.

Ontop of the 1st place prizes, I've also decided to this year hand out a very special MVP reward, for that special player, who has shown that he deserves to win more than others. Rules

 

The tournament will run on the official CS:GO tournament rules. (No smack talk, etc...)

It will be 5v5 teams.

First, each team will go through the pick/ban phase to decide the map they will be playing on.

A knife duel will decide who chooses which side they wish to start on.

The tournament setup will be decided by the amount of teams participating.

I'm not really sure about an entrance fee honestly... It seems a bit much. I get you're paying for the prizes yourself, but still, it's not like you're being made to include prizes, so I dunno about whether there should be an entrance fee...

UPDATE: Since I am doing this for fun and not for the money, I have decided to drop the Entry Fee completely! Due to this, the prizes have been changed aswell, due to budget issues. Check the thread to see the updated Results of this change.

Unless you're bringing in 4 globals i highly doubt you'll dent us m8, atleast we're using actual Lotc players for an LOTC tournament :)

I am bringing in 4 globals m8. Dis is on, far too long have the Vladovs stood in the way of da true Arabic Wolf.
