Another False Traitorship - The Result

Screams filled the halls of the Orenian palace.

Damasus Visaj was being skinned alive.

The reason? A false conspiracy and the resigning of a failed Sohaer.

The blame was put on the innocent - the helpful, and he paid for it.

The barely recognizable body was thrown into the sewers, forever lost to time.

This mirrored a very similar situation.

After winning over his audience in the Medi'ir debate, Suliin'thill Llumnane knew he would not be allowed to proceed further. The Orrariran like guards of the Sohaer were approaching him.

He was accused of false conspiracy against magical users.

Despite the cries of his fellow citizenry for a fair trial, all hell broke loose and the laws of Haelun'or were once more ignored.

Butchered in front of his friends and enemies, Suliin'thill died on the Haelun'or stage.

No trial, no proof, no guilt.

The innocent always die first. Perhaps innocence is the only sin.

Laethis lies in his room, writing a new entry in his journal. He draws the quill to his lips, pondering how to end the entry. Finally, he grins, scribbling the final words.

And with it the fire became settled, Haelun'or burned no longer.
