Letters would be sent to all public officials in the Grand Kingdom, each carrying the same message. The letters would also be posted on notice boards around the Kingdom for all to read and know.

 

“Grand Citizens of Urguan, it is with great pride that I present you your new Grand Merchant,

Vondan of the clan Frostbeard. It has come to my attention that Vondan is the most viable candidate out of the nominations, something that I myself can agree with. While his experience may not be grand as some others, I believe that this small shortcoming will not hinder him in any way, nay, I think it will be an advantage to him. Let it be known this day, 12th of the First Seed in the year of 1531 that Vondan be elevated to a position on the King's Council. May he serve Urguan honorably.”
