A Very Short & Disappointing Tenure

Unexpected circumstances beyond my control have forced me to submit my resignation from my position as Grand Merchant, effective immediately. I do this with a heavy heart, attaining such a position having been my life long ambition. I would not have been able to get where I was today without the help of my clan, Azaghal Doomforged, and our superb and glorious Grand King Midgor Ireheart.

 

Despite my disappointment, I want to thank those people for giving me the chance to perform the duties of this office. I had envisioned my presiding as Grand Merchant for stone weeks upon stone weeks, bringing honor and wealth to both my clan and Kingdom. This is very painful for me, having come this far only to back away, but its something I must do. I will be departing the city in the morning to head into the mountains, where I will be able to have quiet contemplation.

I'm out. I'm too old to be fighting with people over pixels and I've not been overly fond of playing a dwarf. Additionally, since I've became Grand Merchant I've become even less fond of the dwarven community. I joined the dwarven community with an unrealistic expectation of it and quickly became disillusioned and bitter. However, I can say that I tried it and have grown from the experience and have had the honour and privilege to meet some interesting people. I apologize profusely over the fact that I'm resigning within a week of being given this office in character and that I will be putting more of a work load on Bloodnight and Charles_Grimlie until they find my replacement.

EDIT: I'm not leaving LotC, just the dwarves.
