Killing because she has brown eyes?

Today my sister arrived on LoTC and I was waiting for my sister near the gates to Haelunor (you all probably know how this is gonna go down) and I was invited in to the gates and I was being interagated by the guard (I'm a high elf with fair hair and skin and blue eyes) and my sister came and got let in when she said she was my sister and the guard was talking about her brown (hazel) eyes and was saying she was unpure. And we were put in a dungeon and killed. Why does brown eyes mean unpure? Why did she assume we had wood elf in us? Can somebody explain? I'm kinda new.

High elves should have blue, green or purple eyes. Edit the skin and it should be fine. That said... they shouldn't kill new players, and should tell them that :\

If you mentioned to them that you were new and not entirely clear on the lore, but were meaning to play pure High Elves, then I would that you gave either myself or Mordew_ the username of the guard who did this so we could speak to them out of character.

 

While their actions in character are perfectly acceptable, it doesn't make it any less of a **** move out of character. We should really seek to welcome new High Elf players with open arms instead of slaying them like livestock. I hope once you edit the skin you'll give us another chance, we could really use more players who are willing to speak their minds on the forums like this.

Just to.comment as a new player i doubt they would think to.say they are ne we and not to kill them. That wouldnt be the first thing theyd want to say to.see omeone killng them and may look bad as far as first impressions go. And even.if someone were old they could easily make this mistake. not gonna propose some solution but just wanted to put it out there. i agree with verything you said though caelria.
