What is roleplaying?:

Roleplaying is the act and or art form of enabling one's self to enter a different state of mind in order to achieve authentic representation and delivery of a character. Mastery and knowledge are not enough because those are only reliable for past and present events. Without passion, emotion, and dedication, one will be unable to continue acting in the way that their character would for they have not truly grasped the essence of who they are portraying.

 

What is metagaming?:

Metagaming is a desperate act only performed by roleplayers who do not truly know or appreciate what roleplaying is. They do not realize that in a roleplay there is no such thing as “a way to win”. Metagaming is, in my opinion, an attempt to use advantages that the player himself/herself is capable of, but the character they roleplay is not capable of just so that they can “win” during any encounter they face during roleplay.

 

What is powergaming?:

Powergaming is either the abandonment of the aspects of roleplaying in order to achieve a desired outcome or the act forcing an action upon another roleplayer in order to prevent them from going against what one wishes to happen. It is a manner of gaming that completely goes against what a roleplaying game stands for.

Character’s race: High Elf.

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

 

Long ago, Yuvunicel was but a simple High Elf. The one thing that made him stand out was his unique disposition towards others. Unlike his brethren, Yuvunciel's opinions towards others were not based nor swayed by trivial matters such as class, race, or even purity of blood. Born more in tune with nature than others, he had naturally developed a greater sense of understanding and appreciation for all different forms of life and thus always held them at equal standing. After years of passive silence while witnessing how his kind ridiculed and or mistreated those of non-high-elven descent, he had had enough. He began standing up for anyone he saw being oppressed or belittled and even berated those guilty of such cruelty. He openly voiced his opposition towards the manner of conduct which his society upheld and while there were quite a few who agreed with his opinions, majority of his kind found him and his beliefs on humility and racial diversity being good absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunately, High Elves can be as stubborn as they are bigoted.

 

One day, as he was relaxing in his home, Yuvunciel was alarmed to hear his front door being blasted open and guards marching their way inside. Without warning, they seized, blindfolded, and dragged him off. When he was freed from his bindings, he saw a large gathering of familiar faces plastered with mocking and judging looks in their eyes. He was told that they had decided that enough was enough. They could no longer tolerate such open acts of treason and threatened him to either leave the city or face the consequences. With no choice left and disappointment in his heart, Yuvunciel conceded to their demands and was exiled. With no home to return to, he sought refuge in every village he came upon believing that if he explained his circumstances they would welcome him. To his surprise, they all but outright rejected him. Unwilling to listen nor to trust a High Elf, every village either refused to aid him or even listen. All too accustomed to how High Elves treat their kind, they refused to let their guard down. Disillusioned and devastated, Yuvunciel decided to live in isolation within the woodlands where he would be free to live as he pleased with nature and he withdrew himself from almost all outside contact save for a few true friends he had managed to encounter and or save over the years during his exile.

Ambitions: Self-sustainability through nature, Mastery of Nature based Magic

Strengths/Talents: High Intellect, Keen Observation Skills, High regard for Life

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Distrusts and Dislikes *almost* Everyone Due to Exile and Disillusionment (Does not hate people. Simply avoids interaction if possible to prevent conflict.)

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Height: 6'2”, Wears a Hooded Coat (The only possession he managed to bring with him other than the clothes on his back.)
