11th of the First Seed, 1543

And so the herald within Carnatia cried;

“HARK.”

“Due to the death of the late Duke of Carnatia, Lord Otto of House Sarkozic, have it be known that his eldest son, Lord Stefan of House Sarkozic, inherit all titles therein. He shall be known as His Grace, the Duke of Carnatia, Lord Stephen of House Sarkozic. Let no other claimants attempt to usurp his GOD-given rights and may GOD bless his reign.”

“Hail to Thee, Duke Stephen!”

With the message given, the herald departed.

"Aye, hail to the Duke!" Eirik Colborn says happily.

The Archduke smiles as he receives the news of the new Duke’s ascension, though it is one tinged with sorrow at the news of the erstwhile Sarkozic. He gestured to a nearby valet, sigil of Amaury stitched on their breast, as he murmured.

“Send letters to this new Duke, offer him our goodwill and friendship. I hope that he will fulfill his father’s legacy and do him proud, just as I am sure that this new era will represent a time of peace between our houses. There is no need for us to revert to the tension palpable before the Duke’s War. Now is an age of prosperity.”

Augustus gives a smile at his monologue, gesturing for the riders to depart with letters in hand -- all set on the path north.

"Dearest Duke of Carnatia, blessings be upon you may your reign as duke be one to remember in thanksgiving. I wish to set up a meeting with Your Grace when it fits Your Grace's time. I understand that you will likely be busy as you begin to set up everything for your new Duchy so I understand if you must wait the matter is not urgent

In Faith,

Nuncio of Oren  Archbishop Oliver Blackwell.
