Update: Rules.

Good evening LotC!

Today I bring a rather simple, yet brilliant change brought upon by a trio of GM's. Cosmic, Combustionary and last but not least fireheart. Together within their selected areas they've came to bring about these changes. So, what are they?

--------------------------------------------------------------

Rules have been given a much needed makeover by our own Combust; condensing and updating everything down to three threads which are now accessible through the rule tab upon the bar (?). You'll find most things to remain the same however I heavily recommend re-reading them as both a refresher and also that to ensure nothing has changed come to crossover,  it'll remain your own responsibility to be in knowledge of the rules so do not be caught out! A top this presume changes will come over the many days following, so keep an eye out for announcement posts etc!

--------------------------------------------------------------

We've also a rather large change that many people have been expecting for some time. Now, it should be known this isn't entirely complete and will definitely in fact be constantly changed until we've a system that operates well whilst being used. This has been the product of many hours of Cosmic and following that Fireheart, together they've formed something hopefully everyone on the server may enjoy. A reminder that nothing is final here, and changes will occur. So don't panic if something seems incredibly out of place because in no doubt can we find a means of fixing it.

--------------------------------------------------------------

That's all I have for you this evening, take a read and enjoy.

- Dan.

Glad they are posted after my ban, good fun.

They tend to do that, in order to justify their occasional negligence when they fail to clarify what is and isn't a rule.

Hey man, chill. :p

This is something that's been in the works since October and I'm just glad this chapter is finally coming to a reasonable close. Likely the changes presented today will help quell any misconceptions about the rules and in turn this will ensure we have no future issues.

Thank you to Combustionary, Fireheart, and Cosmic!

The fact that it is still expected that you permakill a persona with aengulic tier skills on it and not use that for a new character is a show of how disconnected that rule is. Approximately 0 people are willing to spend 70 years retraining the exact same skills just so that they can make a new character.

It's a very unclear rule, honestly, nobody follows it, and nobody should. There's a reason there are 20 master 7 year old blacksmiths out there.

I'm chill, I'm just saying that this can happen. I've seen it happen in the past and have even caught the staff attempting to change the rules before and claim they were the rules all along even after I had a screenshot of the rules before they were "fixed.". Either way, I appreciate the work these three have put into updating the rules because they needed to be updated anyways. Sucks for DrakeHaze, but it happens.

That's fair enough, that is unfortunate and I do concede what you've said holds merit.

And DrakeHaze, I'll just ask that you please act respectfully even though you were banned before this change, it will give us plenty excuse to remove your ban and get you back on board!

We write down rules yet we do not follow the words we use! Very strange!

Arson or other means of property destruction are not allowed except during warclaims or with the plot owner's OOC permission.

I have the question if this applies if only 1 of many region owners allows said destruction, sketching the following example:

I own a plot of land, that might or might not fall under another nations territory due to warclaims and such. Say that the opposing party wins said warclaim, and my region will get another parent/newly added region owner (The Nation leader of the opposing faction). Can he order the destruction of terrain on his own, or must the other owners of this region be alerted/discussed with firstly before such actions are taken by the command of a single of many region owners?

Point of concern/spin of thoughts, I`d like an answer non the less :)

It's worth noting that no rules have actually been changed past slightly clearer rewordings, with the exception of the removal of a few that were based on Athera's Nexus Plots.
