Evening LotC. Today I bring word of two teams, each with rather different implementation and the likes.

-------------------------

Media Team(s)

Firstly, we'll talk about the most obvious and spoken about. The new media team format. Now unlike before where the team is staff based, has a single lead promoted from the GM team and slowly recruits we're now giving you the opportunity to create your own. Using this forum here you can register and recruit for your own established team and manage it how you want too; you could be specialized, general, massive, small. All that matters to us is that you receive the staff support you need to produce good content for the server.

I cannot stress enough that this is entirely trial based, we're unsure if it works however efforts with the MT in the past have also shown to not meet a standard. This is something new and its likely the system will be fiddled and meddled with over the coming weeks. If you've any questions, concerns of queries you may post such in a reply below and I'll be quick to get back to you. Hopefully this will produce some good stuff whilst also officially recognizing those that have already done so.

Wiki Team

A new team? Indeed. I'll let Mitto take this one.

Greetings, I've come to you with transparency where appropriate.

Today we're announcing the trial of a new staff team lead by myself. It's going to have a test run for a month to evaluate it's usefulness. So before there's any comments on its alleged redundancy I hope you would give it a chance.

The team in question is the Wiki Team, a team that has been unofficial for quite a while now. Now with full staff support, the wiki team will work hard to actively keep on top of the Wiki. The aim is to make sure everything is there, unbiased and updated, among other things. A full post labelling the duties of the Wiki Team will come in time.

This does not stop the regular players from having a wiki account and actively posting on the wiki, we still encourage those sorts of actions. However the Wiki team will constantly go through to evaluate what is there and not. For the time that the wiki has been about it has been chaos. Too much for only one or two Wiki admins alone.

Hopefully this addition will aid in the maintenance of the wiki, making sure it's always a reliable resource for information.

That's right, an entirely new team. At least for the time being. This team is under a one month trial period after which it shall be reviewed by me personally come the end of it. For a while the wiki has been largely neglected and its time to change that, as in reality it is a different platform. GM's have always monitored in-game, FM's monitoring the forums. Yet the wiki has been in this pseudo state of barely being managed despite being such a reliance for new and old players alike.

Once more I/Mitto will answer any questions below and the recruitment forum should be going up sometime later today.

-------------------------

Alright, that's all I've got for you for the time being.

Thanks, Dan.

Edit:: Managed to get the wiki team staff application up quicker than expected!

I'm looking forward to seeing how this new Media-Team format is going to work out. Hopefully we get some competition going in-between teams.

Such is the idea, a bit of good ol' tory privatization.

Editing the wiki should be available to the public, as this is the purpose of a wiki and it should be monitored by the wiki team.

Have certain pages locked, others free to edit.  You could even have pages for personal characters as with the old Aegis wiki.

It's still like that, any person can come up to us and ask for a wiki account to start editing and making pages on their own. Wiki team is there to actually fix and update stuff that long needed fixing and updating.

"We get far too many people making edits on the Wiki. It's really popular so we need more people regulating it. I know, let's form a Wiki team!"

Is your problem with the Wiki low traffic and low content, or high inaccuracy and saturation of information? Unlock the wiki more and give players more opportunity to edit if it's the former, restrict it more if it's the latter.
