Domus Liquidus (a guild of builders/architects/magicians/engineers)

we use astatine, magical element to reach our goals. this element is the source of our magical engineering.

when you reach certain ranks, you will go through the ceremony of astatine ingestion. in which, you will ingest astatine to have its ability effects be forever bound to you, if you succeed to survive it that is.

examples of use by astatine magic: aqua repel barrier. (basically, stops aqua from moving at certain magnitude, allowing aqua repellants to work in any form we wish. most common use, aqua door, aqua tunnels.)

source of astatine is our most well kept secret, and will never leak to wrong ears.

generally, the properties of astatine in our bodies allow us to master the manipulation of aqua, which we have been named after.

current headquarters are located at the white valley. for location, contact me by a letter or by telepathic link once you are accepted.

ranks are in descending order as:

Dominus, master of the house. (me)

Magisterium, master speaker. (whose tasks include organizing of different branches inter connectivity and politics.)

Praetor, head of an individual branch in the guild.

Orator, a Speaker. (one who has the privilege of speaking in behalf of all demiurgus and opifex. as well, superior to them. minor politician.)

Demiurgus, an artisan. (plans building projects.)

Opifex, a builder. (might also be someone who specializes in something entirely different, but can also build.)

guild name translates as "house of liquidics", which comes from the mastery of understanding liquid elements which members of this guild poses.

in other words, members of this guild are referred as of liquidus.

that means, if i were to introduce myself, i would do it as follows:

i be Valikor, dominus of liquidus.

this guild has no affiliations to neither undead nor ascended. and i wish to keep it that way for the time being, as i have no care for their causes.

guild ambitions:

to have this guild widely available by having a guild branch in each of the major cities. and some branches in undisclosed locations.

to build grand architectural designs for clients and ourselves which would not be possible otherwise.

I'm not quite sure how well this fits the lore, and I feel that it would probably hard to RP well. What exactly is the purpose of the guild? You won't actually have powers ocer water. Is it an architectural thing?

its architectural thing. you know, like stone masons know how to craft stone, well.. aqua mason would know how to handle water.

and magic, there always is that in aegis which only helps the cause.

purpose is simply to have fun by building and designing. as well, to get as widespread range of land area covered by the guild as possible.

all the means to handle water already exist in the current mechanics. just learning how to use them in your designing is what makes the difference.

Just a recommendation, change the name of master of the house from Dominus. If Nationalistic Orc find out there's someone calling himself "Dominus" they might make him the new "hunt of the month".

uhm.. then i would have to change every title from latin to some other language.

Actually, I agree with Vilki, I thought the Orcs were nomadic/Turkish flavor, not a Latin flavor, maybe the Orc title be changed?

I wouldn't be opposed from changing Dominus to something else personally...it was already set up when we got there though. I'm just saying that some Orc *cough Dominus Craotor...might see it as a challenge...

it just looks bad to have titles in names. becomes far too long you see.
