Messing with Love

I met this girl in Istria

She said “Don’t you worry if I disappear.”

I was thinking I don’t need another mistake

So i sent a bird to my friend and asked what’s his take

He said go for it so I took his advice

And I took her out for two or three nights

But then I put her on pause until the moment was right

I’ve been away...for...too..long!

I met her on the streets when I returned

Turns out she was just looking for a lover to burn

And now I’m singing

It’s been a while and too long until our paths crossed again

But she dodged the question and went back to town

I sighed and decided not to stay

For, me and her make money the same way

Two blacksmiths, same forge, all on the same day

And we stayed quiet for the rest of that day
