Spain's civil war had come to an end and the Francosist regime ascended to power.  The Spanish Nationalist Francisco Franco had just assured victory from the Republicans thanks to his Axis allies. Spain was becoming a totalitarian state from the influence of Nazi Germany and was becoming a more autocratic regime.

Ever since Russia took over Ukraine and took it into the USSR, tensions between the two nations have always been tense. With the start of World War II, things got even worse. Many Ukrainian citizens began to resist fighting Germany with the USSR, and a famine soon swept across the land. In 1933, millions of Ukrainians starved to death. Between 1933 and 1941 there was no attempt from the Ukrainians to stop German forces from coming into the country. The city of Lviv was soon captured by Germany, and as a result, the OUN (Organization of Ukraine Nationalists) declared a new Ukrainian State, which encouraged loyalty to the German Regime in 1941. Ukraine was officially now part of the Second World War, and unlike how many thing, they fight for the German Regime.

War had broken out on the European continent. Britain and France had both declared war on Hitler's Reich, following his invasion of Poland. Canada would answer the motherland's call to arms, declaring war one week later. 1.1 million Canadians had started being mobilized and sent to the front lines, along with 50 to 60 million rounds of ammunition. Canada's close relationship to the United States as well as Britain had allowed it to industrialize, enabling her to mass produce weapons for the war. Propaganda started printing, convincing thousands of young eager men to enlist. Prime Minister William King would unite the Canadian people against the German threat, or he would die trying.

- Finland after WW1 became and independent nation that soon broke into civil war. The civil war was between the reds ( commies ) and the Whites.....the white won. During this time the Finns just finished ( no pun intended) the winter war against the Soviet Union with support from Nazi Germany. During this time the nation is hurt as Karelia has been taken and lots of lumber and tin industry along with it. Now Finland must continue to establish itself as a nation and to make sure the the Finno-Uralic peoples of the north do not falls to any invaders.

More commonly know as the French State, following it's relocation to Vichy. Headed by Marshal Henri Petain from 1940-1944 (France was Liberated then! 'Merica). During this period, France was under German military occupation of North France, and Paris remained it's de jure capital for the mean time. Following the Allied invansion of French North Africa November 1942, southern France was also militarily occupied by Germany and Italy. The Vichy government remained in existence, but was very aware that it had to please Germany. It vanished in late 1944 when the Allies occupied all of France.

 

  The exact strength of the Vichy Metropolitan Army was set as 3,768 officers, 15,072 NCOs and 75,360 men, all of whom were to be volunteers. In addition the size of the paramilitary Gendarmerie was fixed at 60,000 men plus an anti-aircraft force of 10,000 men. Despite the influx of trained soldiers from the colonial forces (reduced in size in accordance with the Armistice) there was a shortage of volunteers so that initially 50,000 men of the ‘class of 1939’ were retained until sufficient volunteers came forward to fulfill the quota. At the beginning of 1942 these conscripts were released, but still there was an insufficient number of men, a shortage that was to remain until the Army’s dissolution despite Vichy appeals to the Germans for a regular form of conscription.

 

Vichy France was permitted 55,000 men in Morocco, 50,000 in Algeria, the Army of the Levant in Syria and Lebanon being reduced from around 100,000 to just under 40,000 men. Later, 15,000 men more were allowed in Tunisia by the Italians.

Franco was known as the Caudillo, the equivalent to the Italian Duce and the German Führer. Francisco Franco was instituted into power on 1 October 1936. In 1937 became the leader of the Falange, assuming control after Manuel Hedilla and soon after he merged the Falange with many carlist groups, creating the Falange Española Tradicionalista y de las JONS which became the official party of Spain.

Franco won the Spanish civil war by using a methodical war of attrition, he imprissioned spaniards found guilty of adhering to republican liberal values, which Franco called a product of Bolshevik and a Judeo-Masonic Conspiracy which had been taking place since after the Reconquista.

(I couldn't find specifics on the military power of Francoist Spain, but their equipment is basically German and Italian older material.)
