A Letter At The Gates

Recommended Posts

A letter is left next to the gates, tacked to the wall with a few dots of tree sap.

On the 16th of the Amber Cold 1549, I was to be a single mother, with little ability to raise my unborn child. I had found a man willing to take the child in, to raise him or her better than I could have. On the 18th, just two days later, I was cornered in Laureh'lin's library and attacked by a mali’aheral named Valmuel who most likely resides in Lin’sulan.

This attack led to my unborn child being miscarried, and I doubt that it was unintentional as the attack was centered around kicking me in the stomach. He did this due to a disagreement on historical events, and his own anger he decided to take out on my child. He has little remorse, seeing it fit to call me 'mali'chikr' after the attack.

It’s a well known fact that elven children are a rarity. One of your citizens has proven himself capable of ripping an innocent child’s life away before it even begun, and commited a crime in the city of Laureh'lin. Please do not let my child’s murderer go free. I just want justice for a life cruelly cut short.

The delay in me writing this letter is caused by a mixture of my grief and events making it impossible for the proper officials able to assist.

Signed,

Fawynn

Pikey removes the plaster tips from his ears, sniggering devilishly as he scampers into the woods, "Those ploughin' no good dirty elves won't know wot 'it 'im, oi tell 'em."

As he says this, Pikey the Pillager slips on some freshly made deer droppings and tumbles into a tree, smashing his knee. His boots also come off.

Pikey spends the next hour whimpering.
