Declaration of the 1st Sich Rada Duma

Dearest atamans, dearest kosaks, dearest raev,

Our great and glorious Hetman, with the courage of a steppe stallion and wit of a heartland scholar, has been felled by the most honorable, knowledgeable, and just Emperor John Sigismund II. May the pious and noble Prophet Siegmund (Peace be upon him) watch over our brother-in-arms in the Seven Skies so that he may ride an eternal steppe of joy and glory.

 

The blood of Ivan Barrow runs in the veins of I as well as of my brother, with this and with the knowledge of custom as a designated a priest of Godanistan, I call together the First Sich Rada Duma so that a suitable man may take hold of the Hetman’s Mace. Let he who is given right by Godanistan grip this weapon with grace and piety, with courage and with wit, for he will undergo great trials in the coming months.

 

Our peoples have already gained the envy and hatred from those across the river, from those who see not our tradition and only our prowess in battle. They fear us, they wet their cotton pantaloons at the sound of our hooves. They shall receive a mouth full of horse ****, for one day we shall prove they are little more than a damen’s milk. Let whoever claims the Hetman’s Mace prove he is both wise and fearful of Godanistan, both courageous and strong. Let he who bears the Hetman’s Mace prove to the rest of the world we are not simply a band of diaspora, but a place of proud Raevir.
