Just saying, if there is a wipe, it might actually be almost pointless to keep your character. I would say just about everyone would end up having to restart there character. So if the map gets wiped, why keep skills? Why keep Minas? Why even keep character cards? Why keep anything? If we wipe the map why keep the Ascended or undead? Why even keep the races? Why keep anything?

From my view I think we are gunna roleplay the mass exodus and have some people panic and companies forclose( like mine ) people will be mad about the New map but it will be so much better then this one... ie New cities and the New biodomes and what not

Cause people like me have worked months on their character and I would hate to lose him

I think this is just a bit nihilistic. The multiworld suggestion is a very good one I think and a mass exodus event could be fun. If players don't feel like they're completely starting over, the exciting new terrain may be enough to encourage most to keep playing.

I really don't want it to be reset, mostly because me and my friends have spent so long on our big farm and mansion out in the wilderness, we have the momument of a past character of mine and more. I have really grown to love my home.

At first i was completely appaled by the idea of a map reset. However ive been in my clans stronghold manaing and building for almost 2 weeks and havent left. Ive probably edited over 200k blocks atleast, just building.

However i decided it was time to get some fresh air, so i strolled to oren and kalgrum and gorkil town etc. And i noticed one thing stuck out more than anything else. All the random crap on side of roads and middle of now where, everythign completely abandonded and a giant mess. I think a map reset is really what the server needs to be honest. Only a few conditions would have to be met in order for players to feel satisfied with it.

-Inventories would have to be kept, this would allow players to keep their most valuable belongings.

-Appealing and active clan builds would need to be moved. (atleast 20-30k block minimum)

-major cities moved of course but waaaaaaaaaaay farther apart.

-and finaly. a crapload less trees, the elves terrified the desert and mountains its just zomgwtfbbq

-a larger variety of terrain (those new mountains look pretty sick

i think if we can meet those mile markers than a map reset would increase the experience 10 fold.

I do agree on one thing...there are WAY to many trees...Oren pretty much has as many, if not more trees than the elves...they should have less considering they are the industrial types.

Ive spent at least the last month building and gathering materials in conjunction with the other citizens and would hate to have to start over. It would be nice if at the very least the main part of our city was saved even if moved via world edit, especially chests

I was just thinking worst case scenario if there was a mass exodus rped then would we not evacuate and have our backpack of supplies and what we wear at least? Since we would be keeping skill points and minas as well?

(stupid phone autocorrect)

I just thought of something actually from a bad idea someone made earlier, it could actually be good...they basically said Iblees would role in as a player and wreck everything...but what if, with a multi-world plugin, we did all end up having a mass exodus to a new continent as the undead have found some way to temporarily empower themselves tenfold, and even mortals who are allied with them would have to make a run for it...basically, it would become the undead continent, there would still be pockets of surviving people of course, but the majority would flee to this new continent that the Wandering Wizard found. Like I said, there empowerment would only be temporary. But this would let us keep old Aegis, add some amazing rp events, and get a new world with 1.8...we should have this event be very long and drawn out of course, probably around 2 weeks to a month. But basically, war would be declared everywhere and the undead would be going all out. This would be interesting and be a solution to all these problems...anyone else agree?
