Quick question everyone....what is the best texture pack to use for this server?

Someone recommended me Conquest and It works great.

All depends on what you can run. Some textures work best at higher bits (x128, x64 I personally don't go higher due to preferences). Other are meant for the lower end.

    John Smith is probably the safest. It's your basic medieval/fantasy pack, and it's nice. Conquest is great too. It's a bit more serious-looking and detailed than John Smith. Between the three dokucraft packs, I'd almost say it depends where you rp and what kinda feel you want it to have. If you're hanging around the orc lands or some place rather dark or menacing, doku dark is excellent. It gives you that kinda grungy feel. Doku high is great if you're rp'ing around the high elf lands a lot for that high fantasy feel. Doku light is a nice middle ground between the other two. I basically alternate between JS, Conquest, and Doku. The Doku packs are a little cartoony by comparison, but they're nice if Conquest or John Smith start to feel a bit dry.

Does the John Smith pack work for 1.8? I saw on Planet Minecraft that it was 1.7
