IF it happens when we suspect, it would be released ATLEAST a month after 1.9.

It will be smooth, and enjoyable. We're putting every ounce of our free time to make it so!

Our lore would carry on, all histories would be remembered and we're thankful for our fantastic community for making it so rich.

Looks like the new biomes in 1.8 won't have any snowy ones. Gotta wait until 1.9 comes out. Bleea...

So, we are going to get a new continent/area then? Is there a chance that the donator plots could be taken with us? I mean, can my grand estate be moved along?

If not, about when is this going to happend? I don't feel like spending days on building a estate that I'll have to tear down 2 weeks later.

Sorry for bothering you guys with this, but it's kind of important.

Ya that is one thing I would like answered too. I have a plot of land I got through donating and I have been working on it the last couple of months. If I were to lose all of what I have worked on and not get the resources I put into building back I would be rediculously upset and why would I want to work on it any further right now? Or really do anything in aegis right now if it is all going away? I think that the world reset is a good thing and will help clean up aegis make things more organized and right for the amount of players we have. But if everyone loses what they've worked on then it is really only good for new players coming to the sever that dont have things they have built yet or people with a huge amount of resources they can build what they have already built again. I might as well start tearing down everyhting I've built now so at least I wont lose the meterial used to build it if we wont get things we have built on our land back. All buildings being destoryed just doesn't make sense to me and would ruin a lot of things for me on this server and im sure for others too. I mean people get protected land their stuff wont be detroyed right?

I don't mean to complain or whine and I know the gm's and mods or just doing what is best for the server. This is a big issue to me though, and I want all the info so I can decide my best course of action to limit any loss if there is any.

Huzzah! A way to keep our goodies!

Hopefully in the new world/continent we will have a more organized setup of towns and cities. Everywhere I go there are abandoned houses and towns littering the place. It's quite annoying. I also think having huge towns (excluding AlKhazar, and the major cities) is useless, as there isn't always everyone in the town online.

That would be best. We're trying to find a way to stop random abandoned towns from popping up.

I heard the new map won't have any snowy biomes, is this true?

I hope not, Snow biomes are one of my favourite. The snow Golems will have to be removed via a plugin.

What we really need is to make sure that the new world isn't covered in all those abandoned buildings. We as people of Aegis need to step up and rid the abandoned buildings from the map to make sure it doesn't end up like the last one.

One question: have the inhabitants of Aegis been to this new continent before what ever your using to move the focus over to the new continent? Also a good way to remove abandoned buidings would be to if a chest hasent been interacted with for lets say a week it is flagged to be raided(removed and all goods inside are given to the faction that discovers the building first)

edit: it is only flagged if its in the wild

That would not be very good you forgot to realize that sometimes people get sick irl and wont have a chance to gt on for over a week.

I personally think a good way to stop random abandoned buildings to stop popping up in the wilds is to, one, enlarge the areas of land the kingdoms have(which will also be better for roleplaying purposes as well ) which I am pretty sure they are already thinking about doing, and two, in order for a town or manor(single houses) to be founded properly you must go up to your racial leader or a GM and tell them where and what you are planning to build.This will not only be a way to reduce random buildings, but also help roleplay run more smoothly, as it is easier to find an/or recruit for towns if said town can be found more easily and is also known to leaders within the world. The server could be trawled every once in awhile to find any random structures, and after three days, the house will be torn down, its materials popped into a chest for the time being, and after a two week or so waiting period for a claim, the chest's contents will then become public domain, which may or may not be fought for in a tournament style brawl.

That will also put a lot of pressure and work on the GMs/Faction leaders, imagine the amount of houses that will be built...
