Diddyski 132 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Voting Rules And Information For The Mayor Elections Of Felsen Read these rules before voting for the person you want as Mayor Of Felsen. This Document states a few rules that the new Mayor of Felsen can do once chosen. The Head Steward of Felsen has the job to run the Mayor elections and make sure they run smoothly. They will be the one to read through each application and listen to every speech. They are the one at the end of all speeches to pick the candidates that are serious about the role of Mayor. And make a poll for citizens to vote for who they want to be as mayor. It is the Head Stewards job to count and recount the votes of each candidate and make sure the counted voters are on the taxpayers ledger. The Head Steward will then tell the citizens of Felsen who the next Mayor will be. They will also get the town criers to spread the word of the new Mayor of Felsen. Only Tax payers of the city may vote. Any votes made by non taxpayers (including guards) won’t be counted and will thrown away. If a citizen owns more than one building/stall in and outside (countryside) of Felsen they still only have one vote. This rule/precedent is set to prevent fixation on voting. If a candidate has any questions or a voter has a question, they must go to the Head Steward for advice/to get the answer they are looking for. The current Mayor can’t change any of the rules stated in this document as they don’t have authority to do so. ((Candidates have a week to submit their application/speech. After a week there will be a week of voting, after the voting is finished the Head Steward will count which votes count and a new Mayor of Felsen will be stated.)) If the candidate is a high rank in the guard they must step down in their position if they get the Mayor role as they won’t have time to do both roles. The new Mayor of Felsen can change anything that the previous Mayor has put in place. ~ John Roger Head Steward of Felsen Date ~ 1st of Snow's Maiden, 1566

A Karl Frederik Campaign poster would say "A felsen guard can be recruited in an instant, what stops someone from having all their friends join the Felsen guard to vote for them?" Erendiel would say to herself as she saw the poster. "And besides, if you just work in Felsen, and don't live there, you wouldn't be affected by who the mayor is, would you?" "The Guards do live in Felsen, in the barracks. Seeing as the Mayor has lots of authority in the city the Guards serve, it's only fair that they get to vote for him." says Michael, "But anyway, in the last election only the Guards with homes voted and we elected the Commandant fair and square. The fact that they made a rule banning Guardsmen from being elected is an unacceptable move to weaken the force and prevent us from voting for who we want." Song Druid 1486 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Within Felsen, upon several of the different alleyways and street corners, many posters are erected. They show upon them an eerie likeness to the Elf Arik, who, indeed, likewise stands in the center square of Felsen, arms outstretched and reciting almost word for word what is written on the posters. "My fellow Oreners! You may recognize me, it is indeed I the Druid of Song, who is the leader of the acclaimed Vailorian band The! Druids, Hierophant of the Druid Order and tax paying citizen of Oren. Long have I resided in your city, until despicable vandals burned down my home, and yet here I am once more to help us take back our city! Yes, when I am mayor, I will ensure each house has a bowl of shroom soup blend for every man, woman and child! I will put water in the moat around the city, and add some fish or maybe a couple sharks. EVERY DAY THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY CONCERT. ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY! This is but a taste of the changes I will make as mayor. I know you all will make the right choice in voting, and I will see you in the palace!" He cackles, placing his hands on his hips proudly, clearly happy with the delivery of his speech. He then turns to Michael. "Worry not my friend! I will ensure that the guardsmen can vote fairly, and freely in future elections!"
