"You didn't help us..."

"I-I was too late... I'm sorry..."

Wulfric didn't care, he took out a dagger as he slowly closed the distance between him and Videric. Meanwhile, Videric was laying on the ground in Bone Fort, leaning against a wall. Breathing heavily, he partly opened his eyes and tilts his head to look at the tall man in front of him. Blood was clearly seen on Videric's torn up sleeve and his clothing to anyone who might passed by. His left hand was pinned onto the ground with a dagger, while his right shoulder was pinned onto the wall with a sword. An arrow was seen piercing his chest as blood kept oozing out of his wounds.

"Please... Wulfric... stop..."

The wood elf coughed out blood as he gasped for air.

"Hmph."

Wulfric knelt in front of Videric with his right hand holding the dagger. He moves his other hand to grab by the wood elf's hair to pull his head up to stare at him the eyes.

"You clearly saw us, you clearly saw me."

Then, he slowly moved the dagger up to Videric's neck, slowly making a cut along his skin. Videric winced in pain, and he couldn't do anything else. Wulfric took the blade off his neck, letting blood run down the cut he made. As he pulled the dagger away, Videric's breathing began to get heavier and his body started to tremble.

"So much for an officer."

Wulfric remarked with a solemn gaze fixated on the bloodied wood elf in front of him. Videric didn't respond though, and his mind was somewhere else. As Wulfric talked, he concentrated what little energy he had onto his right palm.

"So much for an officer who couldn't protect his men!"

By this time, a small flame appeared on Videric's palm, though Videric may not have that much strength left, he still concentrated his energy onto the flame, slowly forming it into a fireball. Wulfric, on the other hand, didn't notice the flame Videric was forming.

"The others were also very disappointed in you... I only came here to return our favor..."

An evil grin formed on Wulfric's face as he played with the dagger in his hand. Videric closed his eyes for a brief moment before opening it again, sighing deeply. As Wulfric talked, the fireball began to form and grow larger, though not exceeding the size of small chunk of mineral. He kept forming it as he groaned in pain.

"... I'm sure the other four wouldn't mind if this happens..."

He let out a light chuckle before Videric used what little strength he had to raise his right hand, the fireball moving in coordination to his palm as it moved to make contact with the human's side. Wulfric's chuckle turned into a frown as he noticed the fireball, gritting his teeth as he tried to move away to the other side to avoid the fireball, but he was too slow. The fireball made contact with his dull armor and blasted him away as smoke was emitted. Videric winced and groaned in pain as his right hand fell onto the ground, his skin was burnt by flames. He slowly tilted his head to look at Wulfric. The highlander was waving his hand in front of him to clear the smoke. His side was burnt but himself showing no expression of pain.

"Nice try, 'officer', but it takes more to hurt me."

Wulfric laughed again as he picked up his dagger. He tightened his grasp on the handle before kneeling in front of Videric and thrust the tip of the blade into his right forearm, the blade now sinking into his skin. Videric screamed in pain, but didn't struggle or fight back as he sees no point in doing so. The human stood up and stared at him, a grin formed on his face as he chuckled.

"I'll leave you here to die, and I'll watch you till your last breath, just as you watch me die."

His gaze was fixated on Videric as the wood elf breathed heavily. Blood was constantly oozing out of his wounds as his eyes slowly began to close, the world around him began to fade away.

"Farewell, officer."

The wood elf slowly began to lose consciousness as he dipped his head. His heart beat getting slower and slower by every moment before he shut his eyes and drew his last breath. To his surprise, Videric opened his eyes to find his pillow next to him. He pushed himself up to a sitting position with an astonished look on his face, his head tilted around to look at his surroundings. Seeing his quarters, he sighed in relief before falling back to bed, closing his eyes as he muttered to himself.

"Another nightmare..."
