Harri 4815 Share Posted August 13, 2016 So, it seems Rusty Swords aren't that shoddy after all! They seem to be losing their swing timers for unknown reasons, so please modreq for a GM to replace your broken sword if you so happen to possess one! They also occasionally stack damage (+6 is listed twice when hovering over the sword), so make sure to report that one too! As much as I'd like swing timers removed too, should you happen to be found in possession of a broken sword, or even using one, you will be punished accordingly. Thanks! No swing timer. Stacked damage.

MyNameIsMason 269 Share Posted August 13, 2016 So they will punish us if we have something that they gave us, or did I misunderstand what I read?

No, I'm going to punish you if you don't do as I've instructed in game and here - simply informing us to replace it will keep you safe. It's VERY hard to miss a huge double +6, or not notice that there's no red -% on a weapon when scrolling over it, meaning that there's like a 1% chance you genuinely didn't notice your weapon is bugged before PvPing with it. Archbishop 1784 Share Posted August 13, 2016 And for those who do not look on the forums will get punished for this too? Unlike most I don't bother to check the stats of my weapons too often so I don't know why you expect me to do so with an item given to us when we spawned. Hence why I've broadcasted it twice in-game already too. And, if you're about to PvP, I'd imagine you'd check your weapon. That's the only time you can 'use' a broken weapon to your advantage anyway. Archbishop 1784 Share Posted August 13, 2016 Unlike most I'm not to bothered about pvp stats. When I get into a pvp scenario my immediate thought is not 'Oh I better check to see if this sword given to us by staff is glitched and if so I should modreq it and delay rp/pvp even further despite the other party not wanting that and may even continue with the pvp meaning I can't use this sword!' Regardless two broadcasts in game will not do it in my opinion. How are people who do not look at the forums and/or was not online at the time you did it meant to know that using a staff spawned sword could be broken and they'd be banned for using it? First off Adam, stop trying to make this into something as if it's mine, or any individual on the staff team's, fault. We didn't know that they would do this, so stop saying that the staff given sword is an illuminati plot to get you punished. And that is a fair point about the broadcasts, however I also plan to keep broadcasting it, and have instructed other GMs to broadcast it when I'm not around.
