Drop Koala 332 Share Posted September 12, 2016 An Orcish Failure Slavery, a barbarous trade of kidnapping people and selling them as property to be extorted and abused. The trade has been on the rise, the Orcish kind capturing and claiming Snagas to do their bidding. On a cool autumn day, three orc slavers felt brave as they strolled into the Mali’Ame city of Linandria. Quickly accessing those who surrounded them, they picked a target, a young ‘Ame girl who was no match for the orc’s impressive strength. But such commotion does draw attention and nearby Sirame rushed to the scene, weapons drawn and shields raised. Aelthus Aureon, along with his Sirame brothers, had trapped the orcs within the tavern. With no route to escape, Aelthus offered them their only chance. “Drop the ‘Ame and leave, or you shall die,” he promised the three orcs. Refusing to give up their prize, Leo Aureon offered to take Ayda’s place as a slave. The orcs were quick to accept, exchanging the lovers. Seeing no other choice, Aelthus dropped his axe onto the ground next to him, reaching for the bow on his back and stringing an arrow. Taking careful aim, he loosed his arrow at his target, the back of the blind orc’s head. Realizing what was about to take place, one of the blind orc’s comrades raised the only thing he had on him, his shield, to protect the orc who was otherwise oblivious to his oncoming death. Damai approached, he had heard the noise the orcs made from the nearby barracks. He strolled up to the group at the entrance to the tavern, procuring his longsword. Damai held it low with one hand, his voice booming as he called out to the slavers, “What do you lot think you’re doing here?” The orcs looked to him, one holding Leo over their shoulder.“You get one chance, take the opportunity to leave. Or lose your honor to a bunch of ‘puny’ Mali’ame” The orcs didn’t own weapons except one, which was blind. Damai stepped forward, swinging his blade at the legs of Yuglix, the blind one. Aelthus reached for his axe next to him while an onlooker produced a mace. The swing missed by mere inches. Brandon knocked the orc taking Leo on the head, the Sirame on his back falling to the ground and rolling off. Damai sent his blade into it’s chest. He grasped on the hilt as he forced it through the orcs tough skin, blood splattered around until the orc slumped, Damai spun using the momentum to pull the blade out. The Orc was slumped against the wood, it’s eyes sinking backwards as if they were drowning from the realm itself, but there was a slight chance that she might be resurrected… somehow. As he pulled it out, the blind orc rode on a lur wolf, swinging randomly at Aelthus and Brandon. Damai swung at the wolf, using the momentum from before, but failing to make any contact with the oncoming attack. As the wolf passed, Brandon struck out with his mace, hitting the wolves knee. The wolf, and his rider were immobile. Aelthus Aureon, with a mighty swing of his axe hit the blind rider off his mount, falling to the ground. Everyone circled the now defenseless blind orc. Eath’lur decided to flee from his two comrades, the one Damai had slew was leant against the tavern pole, a gaping hole in its chest. And with those words, “You decide to refuse my request? Then you shall see what the consequence is”. The blind orc, now immobile and unable to see, abandoned by his comrades, swung his axe wildly as if his arms were a hurricane. Damai swiped his blade at his legs, bringing the orc to his knees. Damai spoke once more, addressing the blind orc. Aelthus raised his axe above his head, swinging it downwards onto the orcs neck.. His head sending a splatter of blood around, rolling along the path as it was freed from the rest of it’s body. Yuglix was dead, along with a she orc. Those who stood around helped the wounded, which consisted of Leo whom was almost taken as a slave, and Damai whom had a small cut on his back. “Good work boys,”Damai exclaimed to his brothers,”you all did well in saving one of our Chirr from the filth that are orcs.” Damai proceeded to yell, gesturing for the rest of the Sirame to follow. “Ame Ame Ame.” ((Thanks to @Penguin for helping me write this))
