It has been many years since the Kharajyr had given their attention to the Goddess as a populace. While the loyal few priests still kept their eyes skyward, the common Kharajyr had diverted their gaze from the Holy Goddess. This brought concerns to remaining priests, after all if Her own children did not respect Her, who would? It is with this goal in mind that they came together one starry night. Those so few who still kept their eyes up diverting their eyes to the leaf littered ground as they prayed for a sign from the Goddess. Soon their prayer was answered, not with a Muun'vision but with the appearance of a single, white stag. After much talk of this sign they had reached a decision, all great hunts shall have a ritual before hand. Both to thank the Goddess for providing the hunt. As well as to call forth Her blessing of the kill.

 

-= Preparation of The Ritual =-

 

To begin this ritual a Kharajyr must first have prepared a paste of water and tree leaves, leaving a green color behind. For a hunt at sea the tree leaves are replaced with finely ground lapis for blue. While applying this paste the Kharajyr sends forth a silent prayer to the Goddess, beseeching Her for a blessing of stealth. The kharajyr will meditate as the paste dries into their fur, note the paste can be applied in many patterns that the kha feels like. For the pattern does not matter, simply the prayer for Her great grace and guidance. Upon donning their war paint the hunters or warriors will gather in a clearing, a fire set at one side while they stand on the other. A priest of the hunt leader will step up to this fire, calling upon the Goddess to notice their dedication.

 

-= Conducting The Ritual =-

 

As The Goddess is called on the hunters in attendance take a squatting position while still standing. Their hands resting on their thighs as they stare out straight, awaiting direction from their leader.

 

Leader: "Knayd Siih Sudran fa lymm ibuh oui!" ((Great Muun Mother we call upon you!))

All: "Fa lymm!" (("We Call!")) as they chant they slam their legs once with their paws

Leader: "Vun ouin knayd bnudaldeuh uh drec Rihd" ((For your great protection on this Hunt))

All: "Ouin Bnudaldeuh" ((Your Protection)) For this the left arm goes up as if flexing, their right paw gripping their bicep as well as begin bouncing on the balls of their feet

Leader: "Yht ouin fnydr ibuh uin gemm" ((And your wrath upon our kill))

All:  "Ouin cdnahkdr" ((Your strength)) The hand positions change, left hand on right bicep 

Leader: "Keja ic drec gemm, yht fa femm nadinh ed" ((Give us this kill, and we will return it))

All: "Keja yht nadinh" ((give and return)) Their paws slapping their chest before lifting up to the sky with a grunt

Leader: "Fa Ku vundr vun oui" ((we go forth for you))

All: "vun oui" ((For you)) Upon saying this they slam their right foot forward in a confident step, slamming their paws back down on their thighs as they issue a roar

 

-= Result and After Ritual Stuff =-

 

The ritual itself does nothing physically to a kharajyr. That said it's a massive psych boost to have their Goddess on their side. On occasion random acts of fate has shown to aid the Kharajyr when praying to the Goddess causing their faith to affirmed. To thank to great Goddess for a successful hunt the leader returns to the fire, burning something from the hunt as a sacrifice.
