[!] A Myserious Carving

 

You notice a mysterious symbol carved neatly into the stone wall, it appears to be a sixteen sided shape, consisting of three distinct layers. Its cryptic nature leads you to believe that it is perhaps hiding a message, and decoding it may be the start of a journey.

Ezo Karasuga sees the strange carving on the wall.

 

Nothing about the carving strikes him as cryptic.  But he does think the carving looks aesthetically pleasing.  It's geometric shapes and script catching his eye.

 

Ezo takes out a piece of paper and charcoal.  He places the paper over the carving and rubs the charcoal over the paper, creating a copy for himself.

 

He rolls up the paper and places it in his inner coat pocket.

 

"Perhaps the people of Chambery would find interesting such a design!", Ezo thinks to himself as he walks toward the shore to his waiting boat.

Marrow frowns slightly as he sketches the symbol, "Meh, this is weird."

A dwarf sees this and wonders if he should try and mess with it, going to get some more dwarves.

The dwarf continues to look, finding it rather difficult, thinking it may work as some sort of clock he begins to draw what it will look like when it is all matched up. "Nae, nae' tha'," He scratches out his previous writings, beginning to match up the numbers, "One, one, one, two, two, two, three, three... Maybe Oi 'ave tuh add t'em up...?" He guesses.

Eventually Damen gives a sigh, "Oi'm goin' tuh nee' an ol' dwed tuh 'elp me wi' t'ss..." He gives a wave to the two librarians and moves out of the library.

[!] The carving seems to be defaced, two numbers and two letters have been added to the edge of four of sixteen edges.

Theodora, always looking for a challenge, decides to try and crack the puzzle. She draws a replica of the carving and fills in a few spaces.
