A meeting in Rytsburg

13th of The Grand Harvest, 1586

 

Hektor Brawm rode through the Barony of Rytsburg, greeted by the occasional farmer and Vyronov bannerman. As he approached the keep, the guards welcomed him and let him inside. Rasputin Vyronov was already waiting for his arrival and stood in the hall to welcome him. After greeting each other and the exchange of warm words, Rasputin invited his guest to the dining table, where servants served a small feast.

 

Rasputin and Hektor spoke about several matters, most importantly the current conflict between House Kovachev and House Brawm. House Kovachev moved to a different island to get away from House Brawm and Hektor decided it was time for something new. He wanted to move to Vyronov lands and form an alliance. Although Rasputin had a neutral attitude towards the conflict, he believed this would be a good solution. House Brawm would aid in the construction of a castle where both House Vyronov and House Brawm would live. Both houses would work together as equals in all aspects, but as Hektor was not interested in titles, all titles would remain in House Vyronov.

 

After the agreement, they celebrated with a healthy amount of booze. They spoke about their common heritage, both houses had come from simple farmers and breeders. They were not just born into some noble family, they had earned everything they have through nothing but hard work. In these common roots they found a mutual respect that would predict a successful collaboration.
