Daveed Batler-

- Page Number 206-

-Journal Number:7 Clericalism -

Daveed sits down on the main square bench in Sutica, opening his leather bound notebook. He examines the pages thoroughly making sure he does not damage a single page from turning too quickly. He then stops on the page referencing to “The different color Lights of Tahariae” .

“Exactly what I needed, Absolutely wonderous.” He says sighing with slight relief, reading the notes he had previously written from a past lesson,

He pulls out a remaining charcoal fragment  he kept buried in his pockets and began to add to what he had written.

“The clerical mission and how our blessing helps us.” he mumbles under his breath as he examines the page, tracing his fingers along the bottom of the words  while reading  for more information he could add, he then stops and taps the paper with the charcoal and begins writing.

When I had first begun my path of clericalism, I was not a man I had wished to be. I was forgetful,sloth-like, and unkind to those around me. However the man that inspired me to always achieve my goal, Grey Kellian the Third; had offered me a chance to walk the brighter path of life. A path that guided me to being a better person, and a much more respectable man. Tahariae not only gives us a better life to live by his word but to prove ourselves worthy of his blessings.

With his blessing he grants those who have undergone connection a powerful tool to help us defend our brothers, sister, and the meek . With this powerful blessing those are given a color of light to reflect their nature and each color a different meaning Blue “Light of the Warrior”, Gold “Light of the Knight”, White “ Light of the Pure” and lastly Silver “Light of the Servant”.

-Blue Light User: Users of this light, according to past notes seems to be the Warrior group. Charging in first to defend those who need it immediately and healing those wounded at the start of a battle. This more than likely means they undergo more physical and mental practices to adjust to being such a wonderful task of first responders to a similar situation.

-Gold Light User: Users of the notes seems to be more brave and carry themselves with the utmost courage and respectability. They are the “Knights of the Light” this shows in them protecting loved ones with their blessing gifted from Tahariae to bring a desirable lifestyle to those they surround themselves with. And this shows in the way their personality is given off.

-White Light User: Users of this are the wisest most, and  admirable clerics. They are as noted “Light of the Pure.” I don’t have very many notes on these clerics…..However, they keep ever burning lights lit, and those without light they give  a new beginning with their gifts.

-Silver Light Users: Users of the Silver lights are classified “Light of the Servant.” They are by far the second most admirable light users. Considering they have a major focus on purging the darkness in the world, they also are devoted to healing the people of the realm. However as noted it says that they are the most ‘ambiguous’ out of the three other users, however they are still dedicated nonetheless.

Daveed then drops the remaining piece of charcoal onto the ground then pulls another from his pocket and smiles slightly, flipping the page over as he continues his writing.

Though each color may represent a different aspect in a cleric's life, our mission is still the same.  “ Shelter and protect thy brethren. Cannot stray from thy faith. Shall guide the lost. Shall not kill, harm, or spill the blood of the innocent. Abuse of thine gift and punishment shall fall to you.”  In my experience so far, Tahariae has given us so much more than any being could ever wish for.

Daveed then stands folding the corner of the page where he had last written and closes it gently.
