On one side kneeled a handful of orange-attired mercenaries, the notorious Watchmen wielding strange rifle-shaped weapons that oozed an arcananic blue-mist. On the other stood a significantly larger group of Imperial guards, loaded arbalests raised and ready to fire in a trigger's notice. The cold wind howled loud breezing past the field as the grass whistles in retaliation. A whimpering could be heard from the Watch's side, a female high elf was curled up in a ball pulling down a leather hat over her teary eyes as the few arcanicteers remained still, remained silent, remained with weapons high and ready to volley. "Hold your fire, we've an innocent among us who could be caught in the crossfire! Let her leave and we can finish this!" . . . . . . "NO!" -- 'CRACK, CRACK, THATCH, CRACK, THATCH, THATCH, THATCH, CRACK!' -=- The valley outside of Johannesburg burst into a frenzy of both whistling bolts and thundering arcane shots. After a few minutes of fighting the sounds died down, the skirmish seemed to be over. -=- "I've been waiting to do this for a long time now." Smirked the notorious Jacque de Staunton. The man under his boot remained silent simply glaring up, hate in his eyes. "Any last words" "--" 'CRACK!' "I don't care." He removed his foot off the Imperial's apparent leader, a Knight whom shall not be named. "Thirty five percent off and everything." -=- "Get her out of here, this is no place for a woman." Said Jacque de Staunton, the seemingly leader of the Watch mercenaries. The young Jack, a fresh Savoyard recruit nodded as he made his way over to comfort the crying high elf.
