Jacque de Felsen, the Staunton bastard, the Marshal of the Courland forces would sit atop the hill frowning as he'd look down upon the fields of Metz. Mangled corpses lay loitered throughout, the once green grass now stained red in the blood of the fallen.

Hundreds had died on the 11th of the Grand Harvest, 1594, most of them Oren men.

"Jac, yeh okay?" Asked the orange-attired mercenary. The startled Marshal would turn as he faced the older man. "I-. . . I could've saved more. . . They, they just didn't listen. . . I tried to tell them, I tried to warn them--" "W'ots done is done lad, yeh tried. T'is tiome for d'a next generation." And with that the two would fall silent as they glanced over the horizon, the sun slowly rising. "You're right, their time is over. It's our turn now. . . It's time for the House of the rising sun, it's time for House de Felsen."

Word spreads that Jacque de Felsen is willing to argue a pardon towards Coalition leaders for any minor noble house or guild willing to vassal under or swear allegiance to House de Felsen.

Bruce Valmson would hear the rumor and nod.  "The Coalition shows more mercy than the Orenian Empire.  Perhaps when the Empire is gone, there will be some peace."  He'd continue to make armor and weapons.

A note would be found in the Marshal's office (That is, only the marshal has access to it). Not well-written, but elaborated somehow.

"My house is no nobility... No gentry... But I swear allegiance and vassalage, even if with no men nor lands, to House de Felsen. I, Rowan von Mardstadt, pledge the alliance of House von Mardstadt to the House of the Rising Sun. Signed, Rowan von Mardstadt."

OOC Note: To any Oreners reading this, only the Marshal, aka ggteixeira/TheCombatant has access to this note.

"A true watchman seeks no glory." remarks Corporal Ironsword during the battle of Felsen circa 1565.

"de Felsen... Hrm, Sounds like the lands that my father used to live in" the young de Savin would shrug, then going on to trot around in fields of wheat

((I'm glad that someone actually understands how to use the 'de' prefix.
