To those misplaced by war:

From Johannesburg to Metz this Great War of our time has left devastation in its stead, and has misplaced men from their homes. In this new order of things, fragile lives are lost, their ways of life destroyed. His Lordship James Hightower is a benevolent man and has seen this with his own eyes. He bids you, the refugee, good fortune in these turbulent times, and prays for each and every one of you.

 

The Barony of Ponce, with its great manor and surrounding hamlets, has been left unscathed by the war. It is fruitful and full of life, where a serf may live his life as he ought to, with home and work aplenty.

 

Thus it is declared, from the pen of Ser Beelzebub Basarab, that Ponce shall welcome Orenian refugees who have been displaced by the Great War. It is pledged by His Lordship Ponce that home and work shall be provided to those who seek it, and that those who enter into servitude under His Lordship shall be given full rights, rations, and protection from the horrors of devastation they have been so heavily afflicted by.
