Filling a Vacancy: Okarir’mali

9th of the Deep Cold, 1595

 

The Silver Council has had a vacancy in the role of Okarir’mali for quite some time, and now seeks to fill it. None have stepped forward seeking to fill this vacancy, and as such, it has become imperative for the Silver Council to seek out a replacement.

 

To those uncertain of the job and duties of the Okarir’mali, they are listed below.

Literal Translation: Guardian of The People

The Okarir’mali is the foremost guardian of the people of Haelun’or. They are to assure the council runs effectively, and be the right hand of the Uthir. He or she presides over the path to purity, upholding the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.  He or she bears the weight of order, and the one elected to this position must possess the respect of the citizenry and Okarir above all else.

Duties of the Okarir’mali

1.) Infrastructure.  Assisting in the appointment of Okariran to position and supervising the duties to these Okariran is the responsibility of the Okarir’mali, who acts as the manager of the council and may call meetings.

2.) The Path of Purity.  The Okarir’mali claims precedence over the Path of Purity, shepherding those who eschew their cursed ways to once again embrace the philosophies of Larihei.

3.) Housing.  The Okarir’mali bears the duty of maintaining housing and the wellbeing of the citizenry at large falls upon the Okarir’mali, assuring each mali is housed and well kept.

4.) Event Planning. The Okarir’mali bears the responsibility of the organization and success of every government sanctioned event that goes on within the city proper.

 

Only one elven day will be allotted to self-nomination, as it is urgent that this position be filled as soon as possible. Speeches are recommended but not required.

I have devised and trialed, coached them in the arts of administration. My wish is only to learn, from the patterns of our people, and to impart this knowledge to any other who would be interested in such a profession, or to better themselves."

As the former Tilruir'mali, I believe myself to be the most qualified to serve as the Okarir'mali. I offer to serve the city once again. Furthermore, if there is any way I can help the city please let me know.

 

As the former Tilruir'mali, I know how important it is to maintain quality record of those living in the city. It is also important in allowing new Silver Citizens into the city, as well as checking on whether old citizens are still in the city or not.
