The Skull Throne of Fjallégundur.

-=========-

It was, quite literally, a long time ago, back when the Northspawn had a capital.

The 'skull city' of Fjallégundur. Throne for many ursas - and many warriors.

A place that consagrated lineages and destroyed others.

But there is that story about that one Ahlström who made history in Fjallégundur... By building it.

Uknown to many, who think Skjell Volsung was the planner and builder of Fjallégundur, he was but a mere pawn to the one who really did it.

Alfdur Ahlström.

The Skullbringer.

The one who got the skulls, decorated the skulls and built the throne.

Fifty skulls. Fifty men.

The truest essence of a warrior was all that drove Alfdur, under the Volsung Ursa's orders.

The 50th skull was the true challenge.

Warlord Bjarndýr was the 50th skull.

Leader of the Tundurspillir, a mercenary organisation who had just raided a Volsung village and destroyed a Thorkell scouting outpost.

It was a challenge for Alfdur, to sneak in the Gates of Helvíti, as so was called the city of the Tundurspillir, in the north of Tahn.

Alfdur went alone. With padded leather, two knives and a small bag of food and water.

In the way, he knew many great warriors resided, but he managed to avoid all of them, until he was met with the door of Bjoarndýr's room.

Hacking it down with all his might, he found the leader inside, surrounded by women, with just a sword and robes.

The leader, surprised, had no reaction but to accept the axe to his head and compose the top of the Skull Throne.

Alfdur also consagrated himself in the raid of Dudsdein, against the last bits of Ívhtmal resistance.
