Are you talking about your character's name? (The one that displays whenever you speak, or emote)? Because you can change that every five hours via /pers name [name]. If the name is messed up and you're still in the cooldown, ask a game-moderator to change it to the correct name. (Do /modlist to see what game moderators are online).

On the server, there's a cooldown for changing your name, usually lasting for about five hours. I believe that happens if you changed your name a couple of times.
