Parts of the wall was breached, as snow rises around Ser Markus as he charged with the Royal Army through the breach attempting to hold the Courlandic horde. Markus had never thought that Haense would lose against their long lost enemy but he did take joy in fighting a war against them. Markus had a bad feeling about this from the moment he charged to hold the breach, charging forward with the Haenseti forces. After a few minutes of fighting, Markus had surely slain three men, looking around as the Courlands cavalry charges breaking through their shield wall seeing his brothers falling by Courlandic hands. During the fight he sees a man named Glendon Stafford shooting at some of his men. As Markus charged him he drew his sword clashing with Markus.

As Markus was getting tired he was now stuck in the side piercing through his armor as a Haensetian man would run towards Glendon tackling him buying time for Ser Markus escape. As Ser Markus pulled the sword of his his side he sees a horse running towards him as he would quickly get on the horse escaping the siege. As Markus reaches back to Saint Karlsburg he is then quickly patched up. Few minutes has passed as Markus headed home on his horse he sees his wife Natalia being told she is pregnant, but the happy couple would then turn into sadness as Markus falls to the floor. An hour has passed, Markus looks down at his wound seeing it badly bloodied then looking at his wife, and children smiling at them. After a few minutes, all pain and consciousness started to fade away. He passed into the seven skies where he then sees his friend Bryndan Vanir, and his father Hektor Brawm welcoming him with open arms.
