I faded out of the server a couple of months ago after the death of my long running and accomplished Orc main and I've thinking of coming back. On a more low key basis than before, but I'm gonna make a new character. Before I do that, I just need some kind people to answer a few questions about the state of affairs in the world since I don't have the time or inclination to sift through 2 months worth of political propaganda and unintelligable articles lacking in context - I get enough of that from my history degree. What's the political/general situation of each race looking like each days? Orcs still around? Kha been banned yet? Elves still dispicable neutrals? Oren back together? That sort of thing. What's the big main thing in the world right now. Any major wars, big regime changes etc? Any server-wide world story events happened? Antags etc? Tythus harvesting the souls of the innocent? Oren back together? That sort of thing Well there are tons of new nations, orcs are still around and just got a new rex (Pieman). We're doing Ok, but Gobos (particularly Ox Clan) seceded. Kha are living with the orcs and are doing okay. Oren is not back together, but Courland is curbstomping other nations. The Elves are doin fine and minding their own business for the most part. What's the big main thing in the world right now. Any major wars, big regime changes etc? Haense was just befored, Westerlands are battling undead, Orcs are beginning a campaign against undead. Any server-wide world story events happened? Antags etc? Tythus harvesting the souls of the innocent? There aren't many story events going on, sadly. Lots of undead though, but that's more of a player thing Best character/place to jump in to? What's hot right now? I'd say humans and elves are hot right now, but you shouldn't go for the big stuff. What we need people to do is help the little nations get back their power. I recommend sticking with orcs or possibly making a mellsburian halfling.
