The title has nothing to do with the actual flier. The flier appears to have no title other than the address to the High Prophet.

Little time passes before a missive is issued directly to the High Prophet. As soon as his is delivered, a multitude of copies are spread throughout the lands of the Grand Kingdom. The validity and officialism of the document is evident in the large seal adorning the bottom of the page.

[!]

*Penned and confirmed on this day, The 14th of Malin’s Welcome, 1607, by Darid Irongrinder, former High Prophet of the The Clergy of The Brathmordakin at the behest of The Council of The Citadel of Arcadia.*

To start off, allow us, The Council, to extend our sincerest pleasure and and congratulations on your appointment to the position of High Prophet. May you live long and let the Clergy and worship of the Brathmordakin flourish under your watch.

That being said, it saddens us that one of your first acts is to issue such a divisive statement to The Citadel. It is in the interest and desire of both parties in this case, however, that we establish an explanation as to the invalidity of your demands. We do accept that there may be some confusion as to our purpose and our beliefs as you have yet to make a pilgrimage to The Citadel. Allow us to rectify this mistake in an explanation of our own.

First and foremost, the accusation that we are unfaithful is surely a mistake. While we allow the faithful worship of all religions legal in Urguan, the majority of our researchers follow the Faith of The Brathmordakin and the way of Yemekar’s Balance. This is surely evident in the worship of Yemekar through the use of the arts of Runesmithing and Golemancy. Furthermore, we have shrines and altars within the Citadel for the worship of the Brathmordakin. In the consideration that we are complete and devout followers of the Brathmordakin, we see little reason to purification ceremonies and thus will not subject our people to such.

As for the remainder of the terms you have enclosed in your letter, each and every one is accounted for in the Arcadian Accords as signed and approved by the Grand King and The Council. Specifically addressing the notion of a removal of locks, such will most certainly not be done. On the basis of our research and the necessary environment in which we must present such activities, the doors remain locked and guarded for the purpose of vetting unnecessary interruptions and hindrances to research and education. This does not, however, equate to a complete shutout of guests. The doors of Arcadia are, and have always been, open to those who simply send a bird prior to their arrival so that we may schedule their admittance. To date, the only refusals of entry into the Citadel have been those of an Undead or bandit nature. All descendants, Urguanian or not, have always been more than welcome to follow such procedures.

In acknowledgement of your request that The Citadel serve as a defensive line against the undead, your request is unnecessary. Since the founding of Arcadia, the members of The Council and researchers of The Citadel have often tasked themselves with the execution of swift militant action against undead activities regardless of nation borders. Should you, as High Prophet, require proof of our activities such can surely be produced as we have carried out a multitude of activities including the hunting and killing of undead and undead sympathizers throughout the realms.

In addition to the demand for defence against the undead, your desire for a list of runesmiths is also unnecessary. In accordance with the Arcadian Accords, Lord Zahrer Irongrinder serves as the Arch-Runelord of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the Khaz’Lordak. Duties of this sort include the hunting of undead as well as the documentation of ALL magic users within the Grand Kingdom. These records are kept with Lord Irongrinder at all times and are made presentable should the Grand King request them.

As it is seen that all of these requests are either already met or unnecessary, as they are accounted for in alternate documentation, there is little need to press any means of demands. We of The Council, however, feel that it is important to maintain an open line of communication between the Grand Kingdom and The Citadel of Arcadia. It comes to our attention that this open line may seem non existent or unobtainable. This is not the case by any means. While it is not in the needs of The Citadel to request anything of The Grand Kingdom, The Grand Kingdom is welcome to request the aid of The Citadel within the bounds of The Accords on the topic of descendant military actions. The Citadel would, however, more than welcome a request of aid in the combating of incurring undead forces.

As this message is going out to the public as a whole, let the following information also be known: The Citadel is an institution with the purpose of teaching and research. Those wishing to do either are more than welcome to assist in the work we complete here in The Citadel.

*A bird would be sent to reach any of the coucil members of Arcadia, a note tied to it's foot.*

"I am not the king. I am not the clergy. I am but an old dwed looking to earn a voyage to Khaz'A'Dentrumm. I have the honor of serving as High Prophet, but these demands are not in the name of the clergy. I launched this campaign before I was even selected as a spokesman of the gods. The accords you have with the king do not apply to a group of dwedmar looking to bring justice into their own hands. If Bastion comes to me personally and tells me to lay down my arms, then I will do so. Until then, my brothers and I will look to preserve the love that we have for the gods.

Your refusal to perform a simple ceremony to assure your people's worship of our gods makes me doubt your own devotion to the Brathmordakin. Most of your points rely on us having to trust YOU and we have no reason to do so. A simple list of runesmiths given to our Grand King should be the easiest term to accept, but still you do not show any desire to cooperate with the Crown or our Faith. We have NO reason to trust you or your people. Especially that you are unwilling to allow simple free passage to dwedmar of Urguan to visit your shrines, shops and people.

You claim your people have been helping against the forces in the south, but I have never seen a single Arcadian on the battlefield as my brothers fought, bled and died at my sides. So it is clear to me you sit up in your golden throne in the sky and rejoice in your false tales of valor.

So I ask one last time. Are you completely rejecting all our demands?"

Darid gets a copy of the letter from Zahrer Irongrinder and then decides to pen a letter to Morug Goldhand.

*A bird would give a response from Former High Prophet Darid to High Prophet Morug Goldhand.*

"  To High Prophet Morug Goldhand,

I am disappointed in you. Although this campaign might not be because you are the Head of the Clergy, your duty as the High Prophet is to serve the clergy at all times. This 'campaign' should have been headed by a different dwedmar if this is truly something people wanted. This is just irresponsible and a action that a figurehead should never do. If I was the Grand King and supported destroying a home of tons of people, what would you think? I would be disgusted and would hope that somebody would speak out against me. This is what I must do to you. Murder will not lead you to Khaz'A'Dentrumm but to Vuur'Dor. You say I must prove myself to the Brathmordakin? I lead them for years on years and I am a proud Arcadian citizen. In this letter you state you do this not on the clergy's behalf, but then you state 'Until then, my brothers and I will look to preserve the love that we have for the gods' meaning that this indeed is a religious letter. If this is not because you lead the clergy, then why do you demand them to be purified? I fully believe if you had not become High Prophet, then this letter would have never happened. Seeing the propaganda you spread you try for war not peace. You are meant to be a peaceful leader but the things you spread are disgusting.

1d9e31cfb2817d79d918fba84a5c5009.png

This poster means you have intentions of trying to disrupt the peace you should preach for. I had stepped down leaving the clergy in the hands of Tharggus Irongut, a peaceful man not a warmonger er like you. If you have intentions of disrupting the peace you should not keep the position of High Prophet. I do not care if this campaign was started before you had an honorable position, this is purely disgusting and irresponsible. You must decide what stands above for you, War or Piety. Both can not work when you want dwedmar homes destroyed and dwedmar blood spilled.FUJKpCL.png

The Brathmordakin would be disappointed if there spokesman would focus more on a floating island then them. I ask you on behalf of not myself but others, Either step down from your position of High Prophet and continue this 'campaign.' Or continue having the honor of speaking on behalf of the Brathmordakin and end this 'campaign.'

                                                                                                      With Good Intentions,

                                                                                                    Darid, Former High Prophet.

Rodrick of the South scoffs.

"What kind of self-centered ultimatum is that! The south is shocked! Morug is preserving the ancient Dwarven arts by demanding TRANSPARENCY! We do not need a peaceful High Prophet young man, oh no we don't! We need a High Prohpet who is not afraid to challenge those who work against the Gods will! You understand!? A High Prophet who does not sit there simply to hold the title, but to protect the teachings of the gods. The best leaders of religion lead by example; they do not simply preach and hope people follow, they stand up and take action, whether it be a pilgrimage or enforcing the will of the Gods."

A letter is sent in response to this one. Seemingly lacking in the Seal of Arcadia, this appears to be from Zahrer himself.

"Considering your response, it would appear to me that you have little desire to take the time to read what we have written to you. Perhaps I may enlighten you on some facts you have continued to ignore despite their repetition both to you and your like-minded underlings. First allow me to address your continued slander as to our relations with the Grand King. The Citadel of Arcadia, its Council, and its citizenry are on good terms with the Grand King. Your mention of a denial of a list of runesmiths is completely void in its necessity as we have stated in the previous letter. There is a list that is in my possession that the Grand King may ask for and see any time of his choosing as per our agreement in the Arcadian Accords. With this in mind, your continued attempt to turn a lack of knowledge as to who practices The Art into a part of your argument is unnecessary and invalid.

Furthermore, you continue to prattle on as to the supposed denial of free travel into The Citadel. Again your argument takes a turn for the unnecessary and you continue to ignore our original response. ALL ARE WELCOME within The Citadel. One merely needs to send a bird up to one of the council members or citizenry and said one will be vetted and allowed entry. As is the case with every city in Axios, this is merely a precaution to prevent the incursion of unwelcome and unexpected militant forces into The Citadel. Having explained this for the second time now, I shall consider this point put to rest as well.

As to your claim of a lack of Arcadians against the forces in the south, you are again mistaken. Were your attention drawn to the combat at hand rather than attempts to slander The Citadel, you would have seen many of us present. I personally took it upon myself to hurl alchemist fire at the approaching siege tower, setting it aflame. If our presence and dedication to the fighting does not suit your idea of "helping against the forces in the south" then I suggest you turn to your fellow doubters and the rest of the Grand Kingdom while you are at it and offer them the same chastisement and hostility you attempt to offer us.

And finally, having looked at the letter Darid had penned to you prior to penning my own, I am certainly in agreement with his words. Had you simply asked for a nationwide ceremony of sorts as your initiation into the seat of High Prophet then perhaps our response had been different. Yet instead you try to continue this mindless and poorly conceptualized campaign against The Citadel from prior to your appointment and attempt to abuse your position as High Prophet to do so. If your doubts are so great as to attempt to target a peaceful group with religious zealotry, then I suggest you offer your opinions to the Grand King himself as he has personally been to Arcadia and seen the shrines we maintain here in his meetings with us.

It is my view and the notion of The Council that your continued arguments are both pointless and ultimately a waste of breath and ink. The demands you've issued have already been met in one way or another and yet you cling to them in the vague hope that we prove false in our claims. I would like nothing more than to be on good terms with you, High Prophet, but it seems as though your continued intention to slander and defame The Citadel despite your promotion to such a holy and honorable position bars such an occurrence from coming to fruition. As I've no intention of reaching out to you about this again, this shall serve as our final correspondence on the matter."
