What is roleplaying?: Acting as another individual, rather than yourself, and giving that made-up character a personality and life.
What is metagaming?: Meta-gaming is acting on information in character that you learned out of character, through Skype, or what have you.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power-gaming is essentially you taking control of the situation, forcing yourself to have the upper-hand, without giving the opponent a chance to rebuttal.

In-Character Information

Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Jonathan Morrigan
Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male
Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Highlander.
Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 20.
Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Coming from a long line of insignificant soldiers, Jon grew up hearing the stories of battle. His great grandfather fighting for Adria, his father continuing the tradition of Northerner loyalty as a Crow. Jon dreaded the day of following in his father's footsteps, preferring to be a simple traveler.  But with a sudden twist of fortune, or perhaps misfortune, as a boy he heard of the war outbreak with the Courlanders, discovering St. Karlsburg to be nothing but rubble and ruins of a once great city. Unsure of his father's survival and what to do next, Jon has resorted to doing what he does best: Wander, and travel. Perhaps he'll find something useful to do, and a name to make for himself. But if you ask him, he wouldn't bet on it.

Until then, Jon has found in his wanders to have skill in literally nothing. Fighting? Nope, he ended up losing a tooth from being beaten in a fistfight so awfully. Pit-pocketing? Think again Jon, attempting that gave him a black eye. Wooing the women? Nice try, but that ended with a slap to the face. Perhaps he was best at accidentally causing things to end with violence, out of all possible things to be skilled at. His mother should have named him 'Unlucky', instead of Jon, based on how things have gone for him so far. 

It was this train of thought oddly enough that one day he finally realized: Jon, you're a piece of ****. From that point on, in his travels he began to feel odd pangs of guilt, worthlessness -- to actually try and do something with himself other than take incredibly long walks through Axios, sleeping on the side of the road. One winter morning, during one of these road-side naps, he sat up abruptly, a grin on his face. Of course! Just go back to the North, see who there is that will accept you: maybe a butler, or a soldier?  While cleaning plates or fighting was never what he really wished to do, it was surely better than this. And hey, both options gave free food. So off Jon went, back towards the North, optimistic once again.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) An accidentally nosy fellow, Jon tends to bombard strangers with questions. Ever curious of the world around him, he's easily amused by just about anything. Fortunately, this gives him a sense of optimism, and a pleasant disposition.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Successful. Jon isn't sure in exactly what field, or what his success will one day entail, but he hopes whatever he ends up doing, he can do it right.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) If anything, Jon’s strong suit is remaining determined and optimistic. He has no special skills or talents other than that, unfortunately.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Not the best fighter, and he's horrid at being punctual.
Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?): Average height, with a skeletal, not so muscular frame. Brown hair and the beginnings of a beard add to the homeless-man look of his tattered clothing.
