When this happens I am going to appoint four barons to build a colony with maybe two homes, some shops and a mine. The two that show the least successful will be destroyed and those two will remain. Just as small minin colony's to bring weath to the kingdom. So they do not bring people away from the capital. They will have little freedom on their own, and will not be far from the capital at all. So their are no actual towns besides the capital. Any ideas on that? And we would use the road idea Hiebe ;)

I do not see why dwarves would have a false city for outsiders. Dwarves are warlike but only to enemies. They like to brag and show off their craftmenship. They would not let any random passerby wander into the city. They would only close the gates during a war.

Forest dwarves would probably rather live above ground. There are probably not enough for a separate settlement but they could have a few home in a nearby forest. They would also have a huge market to sell lumber to the proper dwarves. There would probably even be a little racial tension between the factions.

And everyone should continue playing like nothing is going to happen in a few months. The dwarves are trying fix the mistakes of the previous city. To quit rping and doing anything because of future events is meta and bad form. We need to play it out. Two months is an eternity in Aegis.

As far as having a halfling in charge of this well swallow the pride because a halfling had to educate dwarves on how to be dwarves. Also at least he is not an orc.

Instead of four colonies, which may be too much and we are going to actually want people inside of the city this time, since we will be able to actually populate it now.

So I would have one, at the maximum since we shouldn't really need any colonies, unless everyone is really far away, we can have one somewhat closer.

I do believe that we should invest our time in a nice red stone bell system for guards

One is a good number for colony. And yes the guards will be overhauled and made to perfection. ( Although I can not achieve it easily )

sounds good sand maybe for this new colony we find a rich mine where the dwarves can use it for even more vasts of money.

also i was thinking maybe the dwarves though expanding the deep roads we awaken a great evil that was dormant but no tries to destroy our race and see if the other races will come and help us against it

tow turn outs

-they help us and we become allies with the faction

-they dont help and we loose the deep roads and we are locked from all the races for a long time

Mushroom infested deep road part that gets closed off?

Also, if we ever do get some colonies instead of like two maybe we could have a shroom farming colony :D

Or maybe just a shroom farm in the capital, doesn't matter to me.
