Destroyer_Bravo 1054 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Ehi... Looked over the post, and I began thinking... How the heck is this gonna happen? Spawning stuff? Worldedit?
Destroyer_Bravo 1054 Share Posted October 4, 2011 since you want dwarfs to stay in the capital you shold try to make a mod that makes mining better in the vacinity of the dwarvern city/capital such as your pick lasts longer or somthing like that. the same shold go for the other nations if this wold happen to the dwarven capital like better wood cutting in the elven capital and farming for humans and hunting or somthing for orks First, that's a plugin your thinking of; second, who would program it; and third, would the server owner download it? Hiebe 2493 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Dwarves shall be able o travel/trade above ground but any dwarf found buying or living above found shall be considered excilled
williewonka01 45 Share Posted October 4, 2011 I have heard from gms our mines will be better, but we will have to trade to get food, wood etc. And dwarfs live in mountains, it is not so much the you have to stay underground, as it is the actuall town none of this outter stuff. Gulik Shortbeard 2 Share Posted October 4, 2011 What about places like Kal'Domhain? That's mostly above-ground, but it is up on a mountain. Are all dwarves going to have to live in the capitol unless they get exiled?
Sigvried 2 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Maps won't be given out. This is suppose to as you have never seen it before. Yeah but isn't this OOC information? what's the point in secrecy? We can't really help like that. @Sand I worded it wrong, it could have been taken either way. so it's my bad too ^^; I like the idea where dwarves are unable to replant trees, so after a while we downed a forest or two and probably piss off some elves. This is also a way to improve trading and finally have some wars that does NOT involve the undead.
Samson Option 9652 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Personally, I am more intrigued in the behaviors/social attitudes that the Dwarves will have in the new map. Personally, if I may make an offer, I do admit the 'linguistics' has been well represented, but the social attitudes of the Dwarves have been lacking once again in my opinion. I would propose to those who are writing the Lore of the Dwarves for the new Continent to really push for the Dwarves to be a few things... 1. Overcautious: Being able to feel easily secure with the Earth around them rather than just below them has negative results on their behavior outside of the shell they've surrounded themselves in and fortified grandly, especially going into the open world, Dwarves should be much more cautious, even to the point of overcautious and doubtful in the advice of others. 2. Very Proud of their lands: Well deserved attitude since they are men of the Earth, their settlements nestled between stone aplenty. The Dwarves would be proud of their unique establishments even going so far as to insult others and constantly praise their capital and other settlements to the other races presumably. sandonthefloor 2 Share Posted October 4, 2011 What about places like Kal'Domhain? That's mostly above-ground, but it is up on a mountain. Are all dwarves going to have to live in the capitol unless they get exiled? Kal'Domhain, if even approved again, will have to be rebuilt anyway. Also, for the fact that we won't be able to farm/get wood is going to end poorly. Unless the government is going to have to pay for all of the food, which is ridiculous, then people will just die constantly.
Hiebe 2493 Share Posted October 4, 2011 We would be able to farm/find shrroms inter caves and people would have to trade with dwarves as we would have the ores, ie human traded comes nd sells wheat to us for.iron

sandonthefloor 2 Share Posted October 5, 2011 We would be able to farm/find shrroms inter caves and people would have to trade with dwarves as we would have the ores, ie human traded comes nd sells wheat to us for.iron Just saying, that will end poorly since anyone can just up the prices since they own a monopoly on their item, if that is what your saying, and wheat could possibly become 1000 minas, and iron will become just the same. no longer active 734 Share Posted October 5, 2011 True but than I would trade iron for wheat.

Destroyer_Bravo 1054 Share Posted October 5, 2011 Okay. Dwarves, and other races for that matter, should be mainly self-sufficient. But, each race has special "product" or surplus of something. Example: We have lots of diamonds. Elves have a huge surplus of wood. Humans get melons or something. And Orcs give product. And, NO WHEAT MONOPOLY. Just my two cents.
