WoodenApples 382 Share Posted May 29, 2017 I really dislike this. Why would people come to the Asul docks with 4 nations/groups (two I haven't heard of before) whilst the other has like what, 12? Courland has already seen a drastic decrease in rp because of this, can you at least join these fast travel hubs so that it's fair for every nation? I'm also confused as to why so many minor settlements have fast travels. Metterden? You can take the north ft.

Because Asul docks take you to Asul nations/groups, Tahn is the largest continent hence why it has more fast travels, and Metterden has one because they applied for a fast travel, and paid for it. 12 minutes ago, Jaeden said: Can the druids get a Tahn boat? :O Please! Courland is located on Asul and as such its fast travel goes to and comes from the Asul hub. It made no sense for a cart from Tahn to drop you off at Asul and if we were to make a single hub it would become far too crowded. 7 minutes ago, Destroyer_Bravo said: can return carts be made to let horses ride? dismounting to ft brings back U N P L E A S A N T memories Yeah this is something I'm going to do tonight. Imi 425 Share Posted May 29, 2017 I think one of the most prominent nations losing activity isn't really fair, as the carts are only based off geographical location. Why can't a cart logically take you a little bit further, so that there is access to a boat, or another cart, for newer players or players like myself who don't even know where half the carts are situated. A good idea in principle, but some nations are gonna lose out.

Why can't a cart logically take you a little bit further? You don't have bus stops placed together based off where they're going to end up going. The biggest argument I see is nations losing activity, but that is utter nonsense. If a nation loses active players because they have to take an extra cart to get to their land (which nations have green soul stone pillars, so you can skip the middle man entirely), then is it really the carts causing it, or is the nation being unable to keep people interested in their land? Do you know how long it took me to work out the old cart hub system? And I've been on the server for a while. It's confusing, particularly to new players, who don't always know that we're not just on one continent. We also only have a few pillar spots. If you play a multitude of characters like most do, it's difficult to simply teleport everywhere. What's wrong with having every cart in a similar place, instead of hiding some away? And what was wrong with having cart hubs for each type of nation. It made more sense RP'ly.

Very confusing and we are arguably the most active region around, having secured ooc nation status with ease. To get there you have to; Go to spawn, go through the confusing spawn stalls and ****, get to the dwarf boat and wait for that, from there on the dwarf port you have to take the druid boat, once on the druid farm you go through a tunnel which then leads you to a portal, which then sends you to the druid grove. As for few pillar spots, you know you can replace your home slot? Which gives you a free soulstone spot immediately for wherever your character calls home. But I do not see how this has got anything to do with the placements of the new carts. You're just lacking one, something that should actually be amended by the staff team too, because the Druids are an important RP base.

The point I am making, and this will be my last point as to not derail, is that if activity wavers purely because of this, then I personally see it more of a nation issue. I do concede that people are lazy and tend to live closer to hubs, however if you give them some incentive and reasons to live with your place, then I do not see why a couple extra carts will stop them from going there. In the end, we both have differing opinions due to differing experiences and I guess that simply puts us at two ends, which is fine.

It's a Nation that tends to attract newer players based off the fact it's an easy RP hub. There are rules and laws, and it's starting to develop it's own culture, but it was still easy to get to, usually full of activity, and full of friendly players. That being said, it'd be a shame if nation activity were to decrease for the reason of carts moving. Could more be done to increase activity there? Absolutely, but the thing with the Druids is that if you play one, you've usually been around on the server for a little longer, and usually have purpose to being there, for Druid stuff. Lord_of_losers 1546 Share Posted May 30, 2017 So, I really don't get why people are complaining about the new cart system - I've had zero troubles learning the layout, if anything it's just as simple. It's split primarily between like four boats, each with their own hub-like area or short walk to the nearest capital. I don't mind the new changes, although my internet does ;)
