Gonzalo after accepting the death duel of Dembres Dune, Gonzalo found himself in the Krag at the time Dembres ran into the krag eagerly to fight Gonzalo. Right before the fight the crowd betted money Dembres 2 minas, and Gonzalo 2 thousand minas on him. The two were handed equal gear. The fight lasted for an hour, during the fight Gonzalo remebered the time he needed to out wit Frederick by disarming him. So Gonzalo used his failed attempt at killing Frederick to use what he learned to kill Dembres. Dembres was knocked to the ground and Gonzalo chopped his head off. Gonzalo had regained his lost honor by killing Dembres in an honor death duel
