Hammered Ham Open Door Policy

OOC: Ok, essentially, I had an idea for how to get activity for Halflings. We need to give people a reason to log on, and a place to go when they're online instead of aimlessly wandering about the village. Enclosed is my idea...

The Hammered Ham Tavern

Long has the Halfling tavern called the Hammered Ham been abandoned. It sits empty in Pendlemere- no laughter, no drinking, no games. It is simply a place to sit down, perhaps bring your own drink. There is no bartender, there is no musician, there is no activity. Because of this, Merridolph Applebrook, Elder of Pendlemere has proposed a solution.

Open Doors

Merry has decided to spend most of his time manning the bar of the tavern. Now, any time someone wishes for a drink or perhaps a conversation, they will find the tavern staffed and ready to go. There will always be someone to drink, always be someone to talk to, and the tavern will become the heart of the community. Anybody may come in for a drink, a game of darts, or a conversation. It is an open doors policy, after all! Not only will people be in the Tavern, hopefully it will work as a center for activity and a place for people to gather. Of course, there will always be something going on there. That brings us to the next point in this presentation of sorts.

Activities

Not only will the Tavern be staffed, there will also be common activities held there (Player run events). Merry has made sure that at least once an elven week, there will be some kind of event or adventure going on. This could range from a concert, to a drinking contest, to a darts championship- even to a great feast in celebration of something. Nonetheless, Merry has attempted to make this place home to activities and events that could take place regularly.

Be ye big or small, fat or thin, young or old, there will always be a seat and a drink waiting for you at the Hammered Ham.
