“Expand my reaches, young uruk.”

The uruks- a gathering of four -amassed within a clearing. They were silent, but they listened. They listened to the tranquility and the peace that flanked them within the forest; the birds that chirped, the wind that whistled… all was peaceful… yet it troubled them.

“There is no spiritual presence within this land.” Murmured the Rex, “Shagarath…”

An elderly shaman stepped forth, his visage though grizzled, was a face uruk-ilk knew well. It was that of an ork renowned for his great homeletic feats during the Orgonic plague, one who had both an army of uruks, and sub-humanoid creatures- constructed entirely from a collage of disparate sinew and bone -bowing before him. He planted his staff into the ground, his hand fixated upon its rounded top, and he spoke in a guttural tone of yore. Even the low crudeness of the oratory startled the surrounding wildlife. Birds flew as if their habitat was consumed with a great conflagration, squirrels darted deeper into the forest, with rabbits and shrews accompanying their brisk movements to a place elsewhere.

The shaman only revelled in this disturbance, and continued with his chanting. “Goth’ ah Gund!” It grew quicker and louder, “Goth’ ah GUND!” It grew to the point of near climax, “ETOZ! Goth' ah Gund.... Larg durburzh dah GUND!" A monolith of behemoth form slid from the ground, a tremor surging through the terrain as it broke free. It grew and grew until it reached a tremendous size.

“RAH!”

The shaman’s arms moved downwards towards the earth. The monolith came to a halt and remained so; a beacon of the elements’ might.

“The spirits have a hold of this land… Carve the shrine as you will, my Rex.”

The wizened shaman took a few paces back, allowing the Rex to stand forth and place within the centre of the shrine an odd crystal of a red-and-grey hue. Thereafter, he drew his uncurled palm towards the shrine, and betwixt the grasp of his other hand, a curved dagger of crude orkish craftsmanship:

Those who had amassed- Anak, Bashkuga, Tajo and Yuglix -outstretched their arms in a salute, shouting in unison “LUP-LEYD” or “PRAISE LEYD...”

"Its pretty sad you put up a spirit shrine in enemy lands, not for dedication, but for a casus beli. You know they'll remove the shrine because you built it illegally and they don't worship the spirits, so you'll use this as your fishing hook to try bait the wood elves so you have your casus beli." says Felix Fitch.

Portrait of Felix Fitch c. 1622

“Left a bit… no right a bit… I SAID RIGHT YOU GOOD-FOR-NOTHING, OLOG *****!” Shouted the Rex. He was attempting to commandeer a pair of ologs- who were trying to hang a portrait of a particularly PRESTIGOUS soldier on the wall -from the comfort of his throne in the War Room.

“I think Felix will be most honoured to have his portrait hung in my quarters.” He said, taking a sip of grog from a mug… before hurling it at the portrait.

The Ashen Orc, from an age long past, stood guard by the shrine for hours, DAYS on end. His mind wandered as he sat, little food in his belly but a gaze of determination locked in his amber eyes. A group of four elves approached the large monolith, however Yuglix did not see them as his mind had already meandered far away from the site of the monument. Only as the elves spoke did he notice that the shrine was threatened, and so he stood up to face them. "Ztay awey from da shrine, twigz." He said, his voice deep and booming.

"What purpose does it serve? Spiritual or Military?"  Inquired one of the elves.

"It iz a shrine tu Leyd, a zymbol of his power, an extenzion uf his domain."

One of the Elves approached the shrine, however quickly halted when the aging Yar snapped at her to stop. "Nub zkahin touch it!" He had shouted, the young elven maiden freezing in her tracks.

"If it is not here for Military Purposes, I will see it is not destroyed. I have family with a great respect for your religion, Uruk. It may in fact please the spirit worshipping 'Ker here. Now please leave, sir. I will see it is not destroyed."  Said the Elf, who had his weapon drawn but not readied. The Uruk let out a breath, letting his hand meander down the shaft of his axe to the bottom, letting it simply hang at his side.

"Mi will return everi day, if id iz nub here when mi get bakk, dere will be blood." With that, the Ork left the shrine and the elven lands.

In response to Felix, Aiza said. "Well, the 'ker could be pleased by the shrine. I mean, they are near the wood elves after all and worship the ancestors and some of the immortals."
