Alifer shakes his head "I don't back this fool, he just spat on the red faith and tore down our temples. Your theological conclusions while accurate cannot be supported if they lack a proper backing to fight this heretic. If you have a proper following then I will gather the rest of the faith to support them, but only if you can prove that you do not lust for power as this heretic does."

Tyr sat beside the fire for a long time, reading over the writ from the "king" of Norland again and again, thinking back to the stories his grandfather, Gareth, would tell him. Once upon a time, the Red Faith was renounced from Norland and Gareth was banished from her lands because he refused to put down the faith of his ancestors. He could not help but think that he now was in the same situation; a scapegoat for a man who barely held the reigns of a faltering people. He sighed to himself. "It seems the work of the Faith is never done, granddad." And with that, threw the parchment into the fire.

 

What followed Tyr's emotions after lamentation was anger. Who was this man, this... bastard, to spit on the faith of his kin and of his forefathers? Who was he to brand them violent aggressors when the only aggression the Red Faith had undergone was defending Norland's people from those who would see them all destroyed? The fire of destruction burned inside of him, and he grit his teeth. He strode out of the meeting hall into the cool night air. "This madness is going to end." He thought as he grabbed a hammer from the nearby smithy. "By the All-Father, I will see this Baldur reborn repay Norland for his raping of her people. Tyr turned to his people - the true and the faithful - and spoke. "We are going to show this craven what a violent convert looks like. And when we remove this filth from the throne he's tainted, I'm going to nail him to the Ashwood Tree, that his blood may serve as recompense for his actions."
