What is Roleplaying?: is taking a different personality and act the way that person would, the way they walk and talk. How they respond to success or hatred or whatever comes on their path. You take the role of someone or something completely different and you act to it as long as you have to. In this case, while you are online.

What is Metagaming?: is using information that your character does not know/ can not know as he or she never found. This information has not actually been told to or found out by your character so he or she can not act on this knowledge. For example: If you know that you’re walking into a trap but your character does not know you can not just make your character decide to turn around or to call friends incase something goes wrong.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: is when you are enforcing your own actions upon other characters, leaving them no choice but to follow whatever you want them to do. This ruins the roleplay experience for other players. Instead of making players do something you can only attempt and let other players decide how they react through the rolling system or if they just straight block every thing you do.

Biography   Wyatt grew up with his grandfather, his father and his mother. He lived in an inn that has been in his family for a few generations. The inn was located in an open field besides a lake. There were plenty of weary travelers that came by and rested there for a few days. There was a small village nearby which took 3 hours on horseback to get to, Wyatt would often accompany his father as they went there to get new food and alcoholic drinks for the guests. His father taught Wyatt what kind of work there had to be done to keep the inn in good shape. Despite these surroundings Wyatt grew up in he has been living in fear since the day he was born. For not every traveler that came by was a honest one. Thieves and robbers were known to visit the inn without any pattern. They would quickly keep Wyatt and his family under control while another part of the group would raid whatever they could find. Money, food, blankets, drinks. They would never stay more then a few hours, afraid of the soldiers in the nearby villages to come to the aid of the inn. And so Wyatt grew up. His father taught what to feed the horses, how to preserve food. He taught him which merchants had the best offers and eventually he taught him how to wield a spear. Wyatt became quite talented at it yet he never got to use his skill in battle as his father made him swear not to use the weapon before he was old enough to stand a chance against the thieves. So Wyatt grew older, he learned how to wield his spear. He learned how to keep the inn in good shape. And he learned how to keep the customers from the village coming. And on the age of 17 his fear vanished. He went to the village nearby as usual with his father as there was a new merchant who settled in the village. A brewer set up shop and with his daughter Hannah, he started to sell barrels full of booze. When Wyatt first saw her she was talking to a customer who tried to get booze for a cheap price. Hannah, was not particularly beautiful nor was she known for being a caring person. She was stubborn and brave, not easily scared of something or someone. Once she knew what she wanted she would not stop until she had, and she would not settle with anything less. She was far from the perfect girl, and not known to be the kindest yet Wyatt immediately fell in love with the look in her eyes once he saw her. His father followed Wyatt’s look and he slightly grinned as he saw Hannah as well. So he decided to buy his booze from them for a change and when he was done with the amount of barrels needed and the price he was going to pay he asked Wyatt to load the barrels on their cart. And Hannah ,who has seen the way Wyatt looked at her, offered him her help. One thing let to another and soon the two could often be seen together walking around the market laughing and having fun, it did not take long for Hannah to fall in love with Wyatt as deeply as he loved her. They became inseparable and their love for each other grew by each moment they were together. They were happy together and they got married eventually. Wyatt got married with Hannah on the age of 23 and he has now been married with her for 2 years. Yet his happiness now came to an end. It was a rainy day when it happened, Wyatt had a weird feeling since he got out of bed. His grandfather past away last night and was found dead, and he and his parents grieved for their grandfather. Wyatt became a more quiet person after that, yet he was still more the same around Hannah, who succeeded to comfort him be it in her own way. His parents left the inn in Wyatt’s hands for a week as they were going to a city to get the necessities for the funeral. Wyatt was cleaning the bar while Hannah was collecting empty mugs and plates. 5 men entered the inn, completely scanning it as they entered. Their clothes were messy and full of dirt and filth, as was their hair. Hannah looked at them with a slight distrust. Wyatt conquered his distrust however and said with a friendly smile “Good afternoon, how can I help you?” 3 men walked up to Wyatt and 1 of them said to Wyatt “We want your best ale along with a good meal” Wyatt pointed to a table big enough for all 5 off them and said “Of course, you can sit there while I’ll get you your meals”. Wyatt kept on smiling, as did Hannah. As he went to the backroom where he kept the food and ale, the 5 men looked at each other and then turned to Hannah. Along with the supplies he kept his spear there. As he was getting the mugs he heard Hannah scream in terror “WYATT”. He stormed out to see 2 guys forcing Hannah against the wall while the other 3 were facing him. He jumped over the counter and forced his spear into 1 of the 3 men, making a deep cut in his stomach. The other 2 immediately were attacking Wyatt meanwhile. As the first bandit dropped to the ground Wyatt send his spear towards the second, yet his attack was blocked by his opponent. The third bandit hit Wyatt in his face with the pommel of his blade. Wyatt dropped to his knees and spitted out blood, his lips now covered with his own blood stuck in his beard he looked up at the men with hatred. With an angry roar he tried to get up and hit the bandit in his face, yet the other bandit hit Wyatt with the side of his axe on the side of his head and Wyatt dropped to his knees once again. As he looked up the bandits sheathed their weapons and started to punch Wyatt in his face one after the other. Meanwhile Hannah was forced to watch by the two other bandits, and she started to scream Wyatt’s name with tears in her eyes. Wyatt was completely beaten, his nose was broken, his mouth covered with his own blood. And he had a nasty cut above his left eye. He dropped to the ground and was merely able to look at his wife. After this happened a sixth bandit entered the inn and looked around with a mean grin. He walked to Wyatt he got in squat position, he grabbed him by his hair and pulled his head up. Hannah screamed at the bandit “You leave him the **** alone or I’ll cut you open”. The bandit looked at her with an amused look. “That’s one hell of a brave woman you have. I ‘d nearly feel sorry for doing this”. He then nods at one of the bandits holding Hannah. The bandit forces his knee in Hannah stomach and as she yells out in pain Wyatt tries to get up again. The leader places his left foot on Wyatt’s neck and prevents him from getting up. “You might be wondering why we are doing this, it’s because of her” He says while pointing his blade at Hannah “I have been chasing her for 9 years, she has stolen a very big deal of money from me I had to track her here”. Wyatt drops back to the ground, while a single tear rolls down his cheek. Hannah still looks at the bandit with hate burning in her eyes. The bandit then says to the others “Search everything, take the money and the food and then we leave. The two bandits that were beating up Wyatt nodded and started to raid the inn. “You to” The bandit said to one of the two guarding Hannah. While the leader sits down besides Wyatt, the bandit guarding Hannah forces her in a chair and he unsheathes his sword to place it on Hannah’s shoulder. The bandit leader looks at Wyatt and says “The Norlanders sure are tough to keep under control, but after doing this for so long I found out how to keep any Men, Elf or Dwarf where I want them. I take what they love most and show them I can end the existence of their greatest love. Wether it’s money or a wife, they will always prefer that over their own life. Norlander or not”. Wyatt keeps his mouth shut and his eyes focused on Hannah. “She will kill you eventually you know. Not with the intention of killing you, but one day she will be in even more trouble then now, and you will try to save her. You would kill anyone who would try to harm her. And that will be the end of you. You are born in a race of proud and fierce people. Yet you could be slaughtered like sheep any second of any day. You need to ask yourself if she is worth that risk.” Suddenly the sound of clashing weapons come from the backroom, accompanied by one of the bandits screaming “The soldiers are here”. One of the bandits comes out alive with a bag filled with coins. The leader looks up at the other bandits and says “Let’s go” He turns towards Hannah and says “We’ll be back for you”. In anger Hannah jumps up and charges into one the guarding bandit, the other bandit meets them in combat and he hits Hannah on her cheek. Wyatt gets up and attempts to help Hannah, but the leader blocks Wyatt from doing so. Wyatt looks at the leader with a mad and furious look in his eyes as he starts fighting the leader. Wyatt gets hit in his stomach by the leader and starts fighting him. Meanwhile Hannah gets knocked to the ground and the bandits start to kick her. As she gets back up one of them unsheathes his sword and takes a swing towards her. As she jumps backwards the other bandit unsheathes his weapon to and they both start to swing and stab their swords towards Hannah who is slowly getting driven in a corner. Wyatt hits the leader on his right cheek and immediately after that he tries to punch him in his face. Wyatt’s  last attack got countered by a knee in his stomach and he now gasps for air. The soldiers storm in the room as all the bandits in the backroom are now dead. One of them runs to Wyatt and helps him defeat the leader and force him on the ground. Wyatt quickly turns around to find Hannah, hoping he can still save her. His hope quickly died as he heard her scream in agony and pain. The bandits managed to stab her in her stomach and her lungs. In an overwhelming rage Wyatt picks up his spear and impales one of the bandits. He hits the other one in his eye, leaving a nasty wound. He then jumps on top of him and while forcing him to the ground he continuously smashes his clenched fists into the bandits face. Not stopping until he hears Hannah moaning his name in agony. His hands bloodied by the bandits blood he crawls towards her as she is a few feet away. He takes his wife and let her head rest on his chest. Hannah once more calls him and he look right in her eyes. Finally Hannah was broken and with tears in her eyes she whispers to him “I don’t want to die, please don’t let me die” She starts to cry that same sentence again and again. Tears start streaming over Wyatt’s cheeks as he tells her she will be fine. Her cries get louder and louder, while he cradles her back and forth trying to comfort her. As she once again looks in his eyes she reaches her hand out and strokes his cheek. With her final breath she mutters “I’m sorry Wyatt”, while she says this a sad smile grows on her face. “So sorry”. Her head faces the ground as she passed away. Wyatt starts screaming Hannah’s name while cradling her corpse back and forth. Tears stream down his cheeks, mixing up with the blood in his beard. He forgets the whole world around him as he cradles her corpse back and forth while whispering “Hannah please, Hannah don’t”. The soldiers try to get Wyatt up yet he refuses to let Hannah go, he shakes his head while he cradles her corpse back and forth. After a few hours Wyatt stopped crying. He carefully laid Hannah down and turns to the leader. With a furious anger he jumps on top of the leader and starts smashing his fists in his face. With a mad look in his eyes he continuously keeps on hitting the leader. 5 soldiers had to grab Wyatt and take him of the bandit leader while the leader was laughing. With a beast like roar Wyatt struggled to get to the leader. At last he had to give up, the leader was taken away and burned a few days later. Wyatt became a shadow of the man he once was. Once his parents came back they took over the inn again and tried to repair the damage. Wyatt could be seen lingering around the village and  the inn. Trying to get rid of the pain in his stomach he developed a drinking problem. His parents tried to help him but he pushed them away. When the locals did no longer accept him in their bars or inns he started to travel around Norland, drinking and getting into fights. He would do anything he could to forget the memory of his wife dying in his arms. He became a stone cold person, no longer feeling warmth or kindness or love except for alcohol. He started to travel around looking for something to do. Something that would take his mind of his wife.

 

Personality Traits: Impatient, drunkard, efficient, organized, quickly provoked, dedicated.

Ambitions: As of right now Wyatt is looking for a purpose again, and for something that takes his mind of his wife.

Strengths/Talents: Efficient and organized worker, does whatever he has set his mind on. Decent fighter.  

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Quickly provoked, drinking problem, little patience with other people.  

Appearance: With the average size of a man of his age, he has green eyes. His beard and hair are rarely being kept up. His hands and his feet have grown bigger then average, his clothes are dirty and old. So are his shoes and the belt he uses to keep his pants up. He has a sturdy figure, yet the booze is slightly adding to his stomach. He has a grim look on his face and a scar above his left eye.
