el’Naeri Evarir Act, 1646

The end of the Fiandrian wars were a seminal point in the history of the mali’ame. With the disposal of the Despot Kalenz, our people were finally offered a reprieve from the constant war that threatened our existence. In this time, the first seeds of our ancient culture’s rebirth into the modern era began. We have come far since then, and enjoy a thriving country with thriving people, living proudly by the tenets of the Aspectist rite and holding the spirit of the ancient Seeds within them.

In times of wealth and prosperity, the most potent threat to our Princedom, our people, our faith, and our way of life is complacency. A faith, a culture and an identity requires constant maintenance to survive. It requires an active sword hand to protect it. The mages are on our doorstep, and will encourage many mali’ame to stray from their faith if not stopped. The necromancers, lichmen and witches of ice seep into our lands and our homes like termites through a wooden pillar.

The Priesthood of el’Naelurir has long served as the guiding hand, the spiritual loremasters and preservers of the Wood Elven people. The shield and the voice of the Aspectist rite. But in times like these, where we face subverters of the faith, blasphemers, and enemies of Wood Elven tradition from all sides, we must also be its warriors.

Thus by decree of the Princely Council, the Naelurir is bestowed the right, the mandate, and the duty to serve as a militant hand of the Elven Princes and the defenders of the ancient ‘ame rites. The terms of which are as follows.

  • The mandate to aid the Virarim in keeping order and peace within the city when requested.

  • The mandate to aid their strength to the Dominion in times of war, in order to protect the elven Princedoms.

  • The obligation to obey the will of the Princely Council in all inquisition related matters, serving as an arm of the law, not as vigilantes

  • The right to root out and hunt down users of corrupt or cursed arts and any constructs or products of their creation by any means necessary within the borders of the Dominion.

  • The right to police the use of voidal magicks in the Laureh’lin district, to prevent the open casting and spread of voidal magic through teachings, and to neutralize hostile rogue magi.

  • The right to enact justice upon those intentionally subverting or undermining the Aspectist rite, and to put a stop to those deliberately aiming to stray mali’ame away from the faith.

Signed,

Oracle Artimec Caerme’onn

High Princess Awaiti Aureon

The Princely Council of the Dominion of Malin

The Archdruid Triumvirate of el’Naelurir
