                                         In order for the King to effectively and efficiently operate a realm for the greater benefit of all its inhabitants, both noble and lowborn, all lords ought to have a council to which they entrust and delegate duties to. With the publishing of this document, this Council is so ratified and the positions subsequently listed are hereby created under the dominion of Haense, to be led by his Majesty, King Karl II Marius.

 

[Crow’s Moot]

A Crow’s Moot convenes whenever the great leaders of Haense require conference with each other in audience of the King and Chancellor. A Moot may delay for rest, but shall not end until all active Councilmen are heard and the King reaches final judgement.

[Chancellor of Haense]
The Chancellor of Haense is the King’s right hand and chief advisor. His authority within the realm is therefore second only to the King himself.

[Afforded Rights]:

• May hold court in the absence of his Majesty.
• May engage in diplomacy with foreign realms.
• May pass final judgement on smallfolk crime.
• May temporarily suspend members of the Crow’s Moot in his Majesty’s absence.
• May lead forces in times of war and peace.
• May produce laws of the realm.

[Lord Constable]

 The Constable’s main duty is to oversee all criminal justice throughout the Kingdom of Haense.

 

Occupant: Rolan Kovachev (StokedOff)

 

[Afforded Rights]: 

• May appoint Sheriffs to keep the peace within the realm.
• May order the arrest of nobles and councillors within the Kingdom of Haense.
• May detain nobles and councillors for trial.
• May hold trials for smallfolk.
• May call for the trial of nobles within the realm.
• May produce laws of the realm.

[Lord Marshal]

The Marshal has all authority over the armies within Haense. Amidst wartime, the Marshal leads the armies of Haense into battle. In peace, the Marshal must keep the army properly organized and ready for command.

 

Occupant: Amandil Anorien (seannie)

 

[Afforded Rights]:

• May arrest any deserters within the armies of Haense.
• May overturn any military decision within the realm.
• May call for wargames.
• May create rosters of all soldierly within Markev.

[Lord Steward]

The Steward is the overseer of land and legislation within the realm of Haense. He deals with the registration and documentation of all council activity, deals with legal documentation, and integrates new council members.

 

Occupant: Jack Amador (bromadan)

 

[Afforded Rights]:

• May order the construction or deconstruction of buildings and projects within the Duchy.
• May organize duchy-wide events such as tournaments and feast
• May levy taxes on vassals of the King.
• May write all legal documents dealing with the Kingdom.
• May write up the legal documentation dealing with the relief of a Council Member.
• May write documents dealing with treaties, declarations of war and alliances.
• May record the history of the realm.
• May appoint scribes to assist him in realm documentation.

[Royal Treasurer]

The Treasurer is responsible for the upkeep and economic prosperity of Markev. He works hand in hand with the Lord Steward to oversee the realm’s construction, recruitment and events whilst also managing taxation and the Royal Treasury.

[Afforded Rights]: 

• May order the construction or deconstruction of buildings and projects within the Duchy.
• May levy taxes upon denizes of Markev
• May levy taxes on vassals of the King.

[Privy Seal]

The Lord Privy Seal is responsible for the inner workings of the Palace, and is the holder of the Great Seal of the Kingdom of Hansetti-Ruska. As well, it falls to him to keep order in the Crow’s Moot and, should the Line of Succession be unclear, call a Duma and ensure it is held properly and is done in a traditional manner.

 

Occupant: Ser Hans (GloriaPreussens)

 

[Afforded Rights]:

• May hire staff to oversee the wellbeing of the Royal Palace.
• May call Meetings of the Aulic Council.
• May authorize the Voting by Proxy of other Councilors.
• May affix his Name to all documentation and edict of the Realm.
• May declare any Crow’s Moot, Aulic Council Meeting both started and concluded.

[Interior Minister]

The Interior Minister is also responsible for the inner workings of the Palace, but his roles do not overlap with the Privy Seal. The Interior Minister is in charge of public works, propaganda and logistics. He will also work hand in hand with the Steward and Treasurer

• May hire staff to oversee the wellbeing of the Royal Palace.
• May publish propaganda in times of war.
• May order the demolition or construction of buildings within Markev.
• May oversee events within Markev.
