Report on the Findings of the Immortality Water

By a Scribe

7th of the Amber Cold

The first known cases of the Immortality Water arrived in Sutica, were a mad man announced that he had discovered the Elixir of Life, a water blessed that could cure all wounds, both minor and major. He also claimed he could see people, hear animals speaking to him, and often heard screaming in his ears. When I interviewed the man first, I was suspicious he was either a dark creature, or some Cleric. He offered to cut off his own arm to show me proof that he was neither, stating ‘It can regrow’. I declined, as I did not wish him hurt. He then offered me the choice of bathing in this pool, to which I declined. He left then.

At Holm, I interviewed a number of people. A good friend of mine who had lost their right arm had it suddenly back. I interviewed him and he told me he went to the pool by the Dominion, were a lady was fighting an Orc. She lost, and he described that the tree’s roots had reached up and entangled her, ripping her apart before his very eyes.

Next, the Druids of the Dominion communicated with the tree, stating in fact, the tree had said ‘I bless and heal those mortals who are good, however I hurt undead and evil mortals’. I also interviewed two Voidal Magi, who warned me against taking a dip into the pool myself.

Further process will require a sample, and a willing subject unaffected by the mana pool. It’s origins are unknown.

Current notes:

-The judgement system on which the tree decides who is ‘good’ and ‘evil’ is funky to my knowledge, as per the woman who was defending herself was killed by the tree and absorbed by it.

-Currently the tree hates Undead and ‘evil’ souls.

-It only grants this boon to mortals.

-The Immortality Water works with all types of magic and non-magic, Voidal, Aeungel, etc.

-Once the person bathes in the water, their pupils and whites turn purple, however it does not affect their vision.

-The people who bathe have reported seeing hallucinations, dismantled auditory and visuals, and can ‘see between the veils’.

-The people who bathe in the water have with proof, re-grown limbs, healed all scars, healed all wounds, and to my current hypothesis, could come back from a fatal wound.

"People have died, due to this. It's not exactly a blessing." Comments the Dominion's Praetor, who had quarantined off a tree in the Dominion earlier that Elven Morning. "Ignorance strikes once more."

As an OOC note, I get that this is IC, but anyone claiming they see hallucinations or hear voices and genuinely believe it takes place from an OOC perpestive are powergaming the water.

I would ask that you please refrain from RP'ing this effect if I have not explicitly stated it, but of course, you're free to lie IC if that's all it is.

- Thanks

Huckleberry goes to the Dominion to slap people with his slapping stick, and on the way there he said, "Damned be these ones, that tree is darker than the void itself! How can you all trust beings that suddenly appear and do miracles!? You people sure are the doom to us all!"
