((I got a disturbing answer when I asked what am I supposed to do if an undead (or anyone else) is fighting with me in the water.I asked it because I can't do any magic in water so I was curious.What was the answer? Ahem."You just die".Really? Imagine that... An undead is casting deadly fireballs at you, you almost can't handle dodging them, but still, you just wait on the beach for him to get out or you just give up and DIE.If it was me ,it doesn't matter how physically weak I am and how I'm unable to punch a guy in the face,I would get in the water and at least try to hit the undead with the other side of my staff.What do you think the proper reaction should be?))

Beating them mercilessly while crying like a little child seems like the proper answer, makes sense rp wise, really anyone in that situation would try and defend themselves by screaming like a child and smacking them without pause

Blink away. Though we can kill them because of lag and game mechanics we should not. Undead magic is supposed to be too strong offensively.

They sacrifice more for more power. Ascended magic is designed to defend and buff others.

We do not give up nearly as much for our power.

Terrain is a tactic for battle. if an undead lures an ascended to an area for an advantage props go to him. It is no different than having the high ground. If you cannot win then survive.

No need for people to start getting testy. I have 50 axe sword and blacksmithing. All 3 are useless to me now. Blacksmithing because I cannot repair staves seeing it is the same bind as blink.

Pholom, the REASON we are not allowed to use weapons is because they are too heavy. However, if you whack someone with a staff (for .5 hearts of damage) this makes sense RP wise. If you use a diamond sword = ban.

Let me clarify a few misconceptions about magic. According to Availer, and the original development of both the Ascended and Undead they are both supposed to have equally as powerful OFFENSIVE magic. The Ascended are not support, they do not have buffs. Their entire goal is to trap and exterminate Undead. We do not have "less powerful" magic, our magic can just be used for other things than destruction. Please keep that in mind when responding to these threads.

Just because he's talking about a scenario with a Undead , doesn't make it a personal attack against you. Chill out!

It's a valid point, there's not much you can do to counter that situation as a Ascended.

Although, in regard to repairing staves, have you tried making a iron block, then another iron block the distance away that blink takes you? It would be interesting to see if that worked x3

Then use the Staff and not the Fists. However, there is rule stating "No melee". I was also not able to cast my mobs or Lightning in water. Does this allows me to use melee? No, and that's the point. Just because you can't win battle it doesn't allows you to break the rules.
