I don't understand why I can't try and punch someone, or hit them with a staff? It doesn't do very much damage, and just because I do not have the strength to carry a sword doesn't mean I can't actually punch someone.

((I do not understand why I can not pull out a staff and cast spells. Ascended are supposed to be to weak to use weapons or fists. Your magis is very strong when used well. Just blink ou of water, would not smart to fight when you can not use any of your magic.))

In some scenarios, using spells can be very dangerous, or ineffective, or both.

You cant cast spells in water (like targeting water) and we are too weak to hold weapons. Still, you can always punch someone...its not like we have glass bones

But imagine a 100 year old punching someone, they would probably hurt themselves more then the person they were punching because they fists would be frail.
